Some trees with a poem underneath. And'Delia in the countryside' from an 1874ish magazine; was my great aunts.

JemimaMop · 27/02/2011 20:25

A painting of the place where we got married and photos of the DC as babies.

youngblowfish · 27/02/2011 20:30

A painting we picked up in Peru called Three people who love each other. I would really love a Klimt or two, but DH really is not keen, sadly.

AimingForSerenity · 27/02/2011 20:38

We have 3 Judy Boyes prints [http://www.judyboyes.co.uk/index.shtml] (That's my first attempt at linking so forgive me if it doesn't work!)

Quite honestly I would probably prefer something else now but we've had them years and have nowhere else to put them. Maybe I need a bigger house.......

AimingForSerenity · 27/02/2011 20:39

Oh bum, it didn't work - sorry!

southeastastra · 27/02/2011 20:40

a 6x4 of dp and i in soft focus in denim on a fluffly carpet

Havingkittens · 27/02/2011 20:40

You need double square brackets to make it into a link Wink

medoitmama · 27/02/2011 20:53

Did it for you. . . I hope!

An antique Persian rug, three Botswanan baskets and a print of one of MIL's paintings (she sold the original before I could relieve her of it!).

brimfull · 27/02/2011 21:01

nowt
we've lived here 20 yrs and have never got around to putting a picture up on the wall
how awful is that?

merlin · 27/02/2011 21:03

What is a Botswanan basket when it's at home?

MissRead · 27/02/2011 21:07

Two black and white flower prints that would possibly get me shot on here (think they fall into the twigs and pebbly shit category) but I like them and <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=farm4.static.flickr.com/3140/2531020561_b5dbfd40fc.jpg&imgrefurl=flickr.com/photos/7865692%40N05/2531020561&usg=__5msNNXHjz4S25IoGnTfTIvb-nzM=&h=500&w=351&sz=54&hl=en&start=164&zoom=1&tbnid=F-YRow_rztnGdM:&tbnh=138&tbnw=90&ei=hbxqTbDSM8Ox4Qbe4cHfCQ&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dberyl%2Bcook%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dsafari%26sa%3DX%26rls%3Den%26biw%3D1640%26bih%3D1068%26tbs%3Disch:10%2C2697&um=1&itbs=1&iact=hc&vpx=623&vpy=708&dur=663&hovh=268&hovw=188&tx=100&ty=174&oei=Y7xqTZzkAc25hAfT0e2_DQ&page=4&ndsp=53&ved=1t:429,r:3,s:164&biw=1640&bih=1068" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">this Beryl Cook print which was a 30th birthday present - I requested it as it reminds me of myself, would not have been so impressed if someone else had chosen it for me!

CointreauVersial · 27/02/2011 21:08

Youngblowfish - I have a Klimt in my bedroom! Only a small one, but it's very sexy.

And next to my dressing table a lovely watercolour of a "fashion-plate" lady that was painted by my aunt.

The bedroom is about to have a complete overhaul, but I expect these pictures will stay.

AngeChica · 27/02/2011 21:09

this - the original hangs in a local art gallery.

medoitmama · 27/02/2011 21:09

ggirl We've lived here for 7 years and haven't any pics up in our room yet either. I bought a nice mirror for it, but now I want to crack on and make our room something I can be proud of! Why don't you give it a go too?!

A few original pieces from local artists: one is a Bad Fairy (showing her knickers) another is a sketch of a voluptuous angel lady with a glass of red in one hand (looks like me). Also a beautiful painting of Mongolian horses in the snow (from Beijing- brings good luck). A Cherry Blossom branch of lights from Habitat and a Bold&Noble print.

Would like Belligerent Ghoul's Wink
Don't like Kilmt posters- sorry- too studenty

StantonLacy · 27/02/2011 21:34

We've got this Adelsteen Normann one - we love Norway and it really reminds us of our holiday to see the fjords.
and this one hung on the wall above where the DCs moses baskets were..quite apt, really !
and this one above the bed.

I love all sorts of different art and have to have pictures/painting in every room - to me, it's not a proper home without pictures on the wall

mamatomany · 27/02/2011 21:46

a 6x4 of dp and i in soft focus in denim on a fluffly carpet

PMSL my mum has that in hers, just her though the DP was left at home.

Jacaqueen · 27/02/2011 21:47

This

www.photogold.co.uk/game-on.shtml

Couldn't exactly hang it in the sitting room!

redllamayellowllama · 27/02/2011 22:16

A fair bit...

This gorgeous ceramic plate, a photo of my Grandparents on their wedding day c.1947 looking very glam, this print which we bought when I was heavily pregnant with DS, this print of a diver and boards, this butterfly print, one of these mirrors, one of my Mum's crazy art student in the 70s prints and a local map. I obviously love it all sufficiently to bother to find each of those links.

As we're taking walls only, I've failed to mention DD's changing table and other mismatched furniture.

MoonGirl1981 · 27/02/2011 22:19

A tree of life wall hanging/bed throw from Camden Market.

3 abstract pictures by my son in matching wooden frames.

2 pictures my son drew of me in clip frames.

Photos of my (sadly deseased) pet rabbit/soulmate arranged in a large silver frame.

Two pictures of Titania Queen of Fairies (I was named after her) in chunky Indian frames.

Smaller wall hanging a friend bought for me.

Picture of Buddha against a green background given to me by a friend's child.

Also have a photo of my partner and a photo of my son but these are little ones on my bedside table.

FunnysInTheGarden · 27/02/2011 22:20

A Ian Rolls of the White House at St Ouens, a painting by an artist friend and a couple of others of boats and rubenesque angels. Also a hand made mozaic mirror. We don't have a massive bedroom, just lots of pictures!

FGM · 27/02/2011 22:39
