Does this mean that ive won the award......

The fact that i have killed this thread DEAD is this because none of you can compare your beauty products to mine.........

Donbean · 16/10/2005 14:59

OOOOOHHHHH! scary moment, just had to check my original post, thought i had missed the "o" out of count.....

MrsSpoon · 16/10/2005 15:03

Sounds good, don't suppose we could occasionally have make-up/clothes/online shopping for our reviews rather than kiddy stuff? (baby equipment, nappies, etc, etc) Then we could enter the competition? As long as the prize isn't a highchair.

skinnycow · 16/10/2005 15:05

For me:
Best lipgloss Dior Ultra Gloss
Best foundation - Elizbeth Arden Flawless Finish
Mascara - Dior Ultimeyes
Eyeliner - Elizabeth Arden (dior smudges and gives me panda eyes)

I do have a huge make up bag though but those are my staple items.

Gobbledispook · 16/10/2005 15:08

LOL MrsSPoon!! Good idea though!

suzywong · 16/10/2005 15:10

oh my word, skinnycow, I always had you down for Boots17 or Elizabeth Duke, you do surprise me

codface · 16/10/2005 15:41

love the idea of somoenthing called ultra gloss

OP posts:
MrsSpoon · 16/10/2005 16:18

IMO

Best Foundation - Clinique

Best Skincare - Olay Total Effects

Best Mascara - Benefit Bad Gal Lash

Best Eyeshadow - Clinique (couldn't believe the difference after using cheap stuff all my life)

Best Lipstick - Max Factor, although could be swayed to try something new.

Passionkiller · 16/10/2005 16:33

Foundation - Chanel Teint pur mat
Mascara - Max Factor lash lift
Eye liner - Max Factor
Nail varnish - Chanel, dries and hardens really quick and doesn't chip
Eye shadow - urban decay
Lip gloss - Chanel, just bought a new one yesterday and it's lovely.

er that's about it

Passionkiller · 16/10/2005 16:34

Oh yes, skincare..

Roc hydra destressant, and it's on 3 for 2 at Boots at the min

skinnycow · 16/10/2005 16:36

suzy I cant believe you just said that!

Gobbledispook · 16/10/2005 17:06

For nails can I nominate my nail technician Lisa? She is marvellous and comes to the house to do it so I don't even have to get off my lazy arse

myalias · 16/10/2005 17:44

To get that radiant wide awake look it has to be Clinique all about eyes eye gel, Clarins beauty flash balm and for an instant skin brightner Ultima II glotion.

JanH · 16/10/2005 18:33

Foundation? That would be the concrete stuff they pour in holes to build houses on top of?

JoolsToo · 16/10/2005 18:57

Vitamin E Oil from Holland and Barrett is good staple too - for oiling the bod - don't waste your money on fancy packaging

intergalacticwalrus · 16/10/2005 19:11

Bourgeois Coup de Theatre (sp) mascara is great for my little piggy eyes.

Touche eclat is also a staple, as I always look hanging.

codface · 16/10/2005 19:47

glotion?
talk glotion

OP posts:
buffytheharpsichordcarrier · 16/10/2005 19:56

best lippy is red earth
best mascara is Mac pro long lash
best foundation is Mac too b ut can't remember what it's called cos I ran out months ago and can't afford any more (sob)

myalias · 17/10/2005 08:34

Cod, glowtion - sorry I got the spelling wrong!! It's a fab little 15ml bottle of magic. It's a skin brightening moisturiser (light) which you apply after moisturising. I usually apply it over the top of foundation to get that sunkissed tan look. It can be used on the cheekbones instead of blusher to get that Kylie sheen. It's a fab product and here's the best bit I buy it from my local market for £2.50 it usually retails for £6.95. Ebay sell it and saveonmakeup.co.uk are selling it for £2.99.

Dropinthecauldron · 17/10/2005 09:20

Glowtion would make my already oil slick face look like I'd just come out of a sauna!!!

Sherlock-so you don't normally "do" AVON then??
-except for the bath,I hope!! Will remember that for the next swap!!!

codface · 17/10/2005 09:24
