It is rather lovely but £250???...and any of the traditional discount offers don't apply to the range.

Any takers?

Ooh, we have the same wallpaper as in the background!Grin

However, the model is not me.

£250 is loads, especially if discounts don't apply - whats the point of Boden without discounts? Off to check out rest of range

mrsshackleton · 11/02/2011 09:52

OK have had a quick look now

As far as I can see its all the usual Boden stuff but in fabrics that are dry-clean only.

Not overwhelmed

Fimbo · 11/02/2011 09:54

Wowser, that is pretty minging especially for 250 smackers. The bigger sizes are low in stock, now is that because Johnnie doubts bigger ladies will go for it or because there is such a rush to look like a christmas bauble?

Boden quality has gone like Next over recent years - rubbish.

piratecat · 11/02/2011 09:56

i like that wallpaper. which room do you have it in. was it more economical than the cardi?

mrsshackleton · 11/02/2011 10:20

Have it in our bedroom - feature wall

Also have it on a lampshade

Ahem, not it was not more economical than cardi Blush - just as well nothing in Boden limited is tempting me as all our cash went on wallpaper.

piratecat · 11/02/2011 10:33

lol at least you can't ruin it in a 30 degree wash.

mrsshackleton · 11/02/2011 10:40

yes, but dd2 has scribbled on it

FaffTastic · 11/02/2011 17:50

Don't like the cardi at all - bet after a few wears the sequins would start to fall off. Wouldn't even spend £50 on that never mind £250

Northernlurker · 11/02/2011 18:00

I think it's all apalling and over priced. That's lucky as they haven't bothered to make it in my size. Only ladies size 6 to 20 need bother apparently Hmm

traceybath · 11/02/2011 18:49

I quite like the silk camisole but just couldn't buy boden without a discount code - it would feel immoral Wink

Seriously though its almost netaporter prices.

FluffyMummy123 · 11/02/2011 18:57

its just their usual crap but silk innit?
i like teh ££ cardigan btu would never buy

FluffyMummy123 · 11/02/2011 18:57

lol @ - whats the point of Boden without discounts?

FluffyMummy123 · 11/02/2011 19:00

the only hting id buy is this
www.boden.co.uk/en-GB/Womens-Limited-Edition/Tops-T-shirts/BA002/Womens-Simple-Silk-Top.html

FluffyMummy123 · 11/02/2011 19:00

lol at me and TB agreeing

cyb · 11/02/2011 19:01

I like the patterend silk shirt in the mushroomy colour, but 79 smackers!

eshermummy · 11/02/2011 19:03

The silk maxi is nice though - I am tempted by that.
I like the idea of the metallicy broderie skirt too (in the light colour, the dark one looks like bacofoil) but I like the fabric more than the skirt itself - I have a feeling it would actually look frumpy on.
That cardy with the sequins inside the pockets is a rip-off of a designer one from last year isn't it? Can't remember who though.

eshermummy · 11/02/2011 19:05

don't you think the arm and neckholes on that silk top are cut way too high though? M&S does that too. Makes you look like a dinner-lady.

NancyDrewHadaClue · 11/02/2011 19:07

I like the cardi.

But not for £250.

Boden is still feckin catalogue shopping. Only a small step up from Littlewoods.

traceybath · 11/02/2011 19:11

Dinner-lady! [£50 saved]

I suspect it would all look slightly frumpsville in reality but yes thought the maxi and skirt looked pretty.

LaurieFairyCake · 11/02/2011 19:12

I like the shimmering sequin dress and at £150 it's coast prices. If I had a wedding to go to it would be perfect.

Also like the silk feather top at £90. Very smart but it looks like the bust darting wouldn't go under my Norks.

cyb · 11/02/2011 19:14

Nancy! take that back!

For lots of ladies, Boden is a lifestyle, their relationship with 'Johnnie' is closer than that with their husbands, OR their chocolate labs

traceybath · 11/02/2011 19:16

Grin at small step up from littlewoods.

MayorNaze · 11/02/2011 19:16

i liked that sequin hjacket in the preview, in fact, if anyone has a cheaper alternative anywhere, point me in that direction, there's a love :)

traceybath · 11/02/2011 19:17

I got a navy sequin cashmere cardigan (crumpet) from the outnet for about £60 - keep an eye on there Mayor - loads of eveningy stuff on there at the moment.

MayorNaze · 11/02/2011 19:17

no no and trice no to silky top

looks like undies
