Has anyone used this longterm? ie at least every day?? What have you noticed about your skin from using longterm? Does it really make a significant difference? Just want to be sure before i stock up.

It irritates my my skin - horrible stuff!

wendihouse22 · 11/02/2011 09:37

Does nothing for me, unfortunately. Lots of people swear by it, according to Boots reviews on their website.

Check out makeupalley reviews.....they're usually a good source for me with makeup and creams. Doesn't cost to sign up.

I like the new Olay Regenerist 3 Point Serum (NOT the cream.....it did nothing for me) but....THIS serum has made me plumped and less tired looking, for sure!

LemonEmmaP · 11/02/2011 09:44

I use it every day and like it. I'm not sure how much difference it makes to appearance, but I like the feel of it on my skin. When my current batch runs out, I will probably get some more but only when it's on a 3 for 2 or similar - I wouldn't go out of my way to buy it at full price.

TheReturnoftheSmartArse · 11/02/2011 09:47

I started using it when it first came out. Not sure I noticed any difference but it did irritate my skin and give me spots so I stopped using it. Unfortunately, I forgot about that, haven't used it for a couple of years and have just started again. Guess what? I have really dry patches and spots again! So, if you want to try it, I'm happy to send you my tube. I've only been using it for a week so it is almost full.

TheReturnoftheSmartArse · 11/02/2011 09:48

p.s. I don't want anything for it, just don't want to waste it if someone else can use it.

mrsfollowill · 11/02/2011 09:49

Another fan here of the Olay 3 point serum- works wonders on tired old skin in the morning especially after too many of these Wine Wine the night before!

I used to use the No 7 though- left my skin v soft and in good condition. Depends how much 'help' your face needs.

TheReturnoftheSmartArse · 11/02/2011 09:51

I shall try the Olay, then.

valiumredhead · 11/02/2011 09:56

Olay's Aqua Physics serum is very good too :)

coatgate · 11/02/2011 10:00

No 7 brought me out in a rash. Very disappointed with it.

jonicomelately · 11/02/2011 10:03

I use it and I think it's great.

MavisGrind · 11/02/2011 10:08

I use it and although I don't notice a great difference I do notice if I stop using it IYSWIM. I only buy it on advantage points though, thus kidding myself it is, in fact, free.

WhereTheWildThingsWere · 11/02/2011 10:20

It irritated my skin no end, hated it.

idobelieveinfairies · 11/02/2011 12:23

I have been using it long term and in the first week it did seem to make my skin softer..but its all back to normal- dry in patches.

This morning i have bought the new ( i think it's new) L'Oreal studio secret primer to give that a go!

I have been using the collagen micro-vibration eye thing too, though not the vibraton side of it just the eye cream and it has made a difference to the looser/puffier skin under my eyes for sure, so i am going along the l'oreal route at the moment!

Davsmum · 11/02/2011 13:18

The Protect & perfect day cream has been brilliant - I have been using it for a few weeks and noticed a difference. I am goin gto get the serum and the night cream too.

auntyfash · 11/02/2011 13:25

I didn't find the protect and perfect serum to be that good long term. I've noticed with many creams and lotions etc that for a couple of weeks they make my skin feel and look good, but then after a while they seem to stop doing their job so I chop and change frequently.
At the moment I'm just using argon oil, which is absolutely fab! It doubles up as a brilliant hair conditioner/shine enhancer too.

seb1 · 11/02/2011 13:37

I was wandering about trying this Lacura price is tempting alone.

Evizza · 11/02/2011 13:48

The Lacura serum is great...really makes my face look brighter and more radiant...my must have item - Beats No7 serum hands down imo x

auntyfash · 11/02/2011 13:59

I did prefer the Lacura to the perfect and protect, in fact I went through a rather long phase of using nothing but Lacura products. They were rated the best moisturisers at one point weren't they?

Still loving my argon oil though...

Bumperlicious · 11/02/2011 14:03

Interested in any more opinions. It's my birthday coming up & my mum bought me p&p last time. I liked it at first but not doing anything for my right now but I am up a lot with the baby and knackered so it may be that nothing will help! Should I try the olay one?

GlynistheGimmer · 11/02/2011 14:11

I have also found the 'intense' serum dries the skin out on my face, but has made a marked improvement on my neck and decoletage decollatage bit above my boobs

idobelieveinfairies · 11/02/2011 14:14
Grin

bit above my boobs! i don't put anything there yet! I have now found a new home for my abandoned no.7 serum Wink

Davsmum · 11/02/2011 15:41

The Lacura double lift cream is good,..so is the brightener.

Bunbaker · 11/02/2011 17:28

Those of you who have tried the serum and still have dry skin, are you using a moisturiser as well?

I use the serum and my skin loves it. It is meant to be worn under moisturiser, and at the moment I am using an Olay one, but have some P & P day cream to use when I have used up the Olay. I use the P & P night cream and it suits me very well. I am fortunate that I don't have sensitive skin though.

verytellytubby · 11/02/2011 17:44

I love it. I notice the difference with my skin. I use the moisturiser too.

madmomma · 11/02/2011 21:29

the Lacura deadsea mud masks are FABULOUS but not for sensitive skin - they tingle, but boy do they make your skin glow - and so cheap. I don't rate the P&P serum, but the creams are nice enough. I use the body serum as a bust gel & on my saggy tum. It definitely does something nice. It's a mixed range I think.
