Have ordered the few bits I want from the spring collection (Linen tunic, ruffle trim top, and boyfriend cardi - nothing else grabbed me), I just wondered if anyone know when they will be launching the summer preview site which normally has a 20% off offer...

poly the mac is in the spring collection. It is on back order- I am supposedly getting mine mid March but there is now a 15 week wait for the ivory colour!

just ordered DD 2 dresses for our holidays, using the 20% off and the £10 voucher johnnie sent me the other day,but couldnt see anything i liked for myself.

Ive just looked at the preview site and its dire. Arent girls wearing jackets this year? theres two in the Spring catalogue and none in the Summer preview.

For us, its the same old boring stuff that is in every year.

Every season I buy their lace up pumps and pj bottoms so, Im off to go and get them with my voucher and, then thats it!! Smile

I liked that broderie dress as well - will hold out for the sale for that one though at £80. That colour block dress I like also but it's creased on the model - bad sign

cabbageroses, I guess it's the trench coat you're getting - does look really nice, though waiting times for the ivory, which is most classic trenchcoat colour, are crazy!

Agree with earlier comment about general lack of sleeves - another off-putting factor for some of us whose arms are far from Michelle Obama-like.

This is my first post here (been a lurker for some time!) but I feel compelled to comment that the Beach Shirt Dress in multi 60s daisy is truly one of the most hideous dressed I have ever seen!! What is going on with Boden these days - the prints are garish, the clothes have become so frumpy and they just seem to be rehashing the same styles/shapes season after season now.

The odd thing I do like appears to be ridiculously expensive (eg. Broderie Trim Dress) or on closer inspection not even very flattering on the model (eg. Saint-Tropez Skirt in 'ink') and I would only be buying stuff to justify all the time I spend on the Boden website :)

Like the kids stuff a bit better but why have boys not got any trousers or jackets? Plus there's a limit to how many t-shirts with sharks on that a small boy would ever need or want.

kittya · 19/02/2011 16:57

I already noted the girls have a choice of two jackets this season, the same flowery anorak which is exactly the same whether it's the Winter or Summer catalogue, just different coloured flowers or, a skimpy denim jacket. The Summer preview has no jackets at all. The ladies stuff is great if you are a teacher and need some items for work.

Having said all this, can some exain why I still managed to spend 100 quid today on three things?

Lollypolly - completely agree - I'm really disappointed with the spring range. All so floral and frumy looking.

Summer range a bit better - love the 60s sandals (and the gladiators from spring catalogue). In fact I do quite like a lot of their shoes. And love the beaded necklace from the summer range. The twist jersey top looks nice too although difficult to tell the quality - might be v thin and flimsy. I'll give it a go though.

I am appalled at the prices- £29 for an "elegant T shirt"- which is a sleeveless vest the kind that would be £2 in Primark or £6 in Uniqlo.

higgle · 21/02/2011 10:47

I had look round M&S on Sundy and they have loads of nice tops of the type that are £29 -£45 in Boden for £16 -£22, dresses similar to Boden for £39 instead of £67+ and some very nice summer skirts for £29 - I was pleasantly surprised.
