Meggles76 · 07/02/2011 16:44

Have ordered the few bits I want from the spring collection (Linen tunic, ruffle trim top, and boyfriend cardi - nothing else grabbed me), I just wondered if anyone know when they will be launching the summer preview site which normally has a 20% off offer...

Yes polyhymnia 'nuff said

cornslik · 18/02/2011 16:51

I like this (for my hols)and was about to order it - but it's cotton. Why Johnny, why?

polyhymnia · 18/02/2011 17:00

Why indeed? Would have ordered that one too if it had been more beach-worthy, ie jersey or crinkle.

And NO trousers ...

Rassy, which jersey tunuic are you thinking of? Do ususally get one of their jersey tunics, but these patterns don't really inspire me.

Rassy · 18/02/2011 17:54

Am thinking of the multi summer berry one (printed tunic) Grin

NormanTheForeman · 18/02/2011 17:59

By teenage, I mean a lot of the stuff is all guitars/skateboards/skulls/camouflage etc, or has lots of writing on. Ds would prefer vehicles/animals etc. Not cutesy, but pictures of trucks, aeroplanes and other vehicles, and animals that aren't just sharks and crocodiles. Or just some multicoloured stripes.

Northernlurker · 18/02/2011 18:00

I was disappointed too. What has Johnnoie got against sleeves on dresses? The girls dresses were staggeringly dull as well.

apple99 · 18/02/2011 18:14

Is there a code for the 20% off? I have put some sandals in my basket but coming out at full price. Thanks.

tulpe · 18/02/2011 18:20

cornsilk - I quite like that dress too. Unfortunately I find Boden a-line dresses generally a little "voluminous" (ie an entire scout group could camp within them).

apple99 - the site comes up with ready discounted prices, as far as I can see, so no code needed.

Nothing for me today from the preview site. Not at all inspired.

Oh and re: the maxi skirts........I think they will look dreadful on anyone who doesn't have a flat-ish tum. That roll over will emphasise any mummy tummy issues, imo.

sleepysox · 18/02/2011 18:37

That'll save me a few quid- thanks tulpe :)

FluffyMummy123 · 18/02/2011 18:44

every thread every season on every boden catalgue says " its lost it this season"

Northernlurker · 18/02/2011 18:47

well maybe one day they'll find it again smile

I got some really nice things that suit me from the winter stuff. It's disappointing that the summer stuff is not as good.

Northernlurker · 18/02/2011 18:47

smile ???

Smile
polyhymnia · 18/02/2011 18:50

had same thought about maxi skirts as you, tulpe. May try a black one, but not hopeful.

kittya · 18/02/2011 18:57

It's hysterical how we force ourselves to buy things!! If we where in m and s we would walk in and straight back out again!

Changeisagoodthing · 18/02/2011 19:30

I used £15 voucher so paid £8.30 instead of £30 for top but nothing really grabbed me

JemimaMop · 18/02/2011 19:50

I like the sixties sandals, colourblock dress and elegant jersey cardigan but that is about it. Haven't bought anything yet though.

Meggles76 · 18/02/2011 19:59

Grin Kittya - you may have a point!
I have placed an order for the jersey tunic in mercury, the lightweight v neck cardi in taupe and a white vest

Rassy · 18/02/2011 20:23

kitya I think sometimes we look at their website and catalogue with our boden goggles on....Grin

cabbageroses · 18/02/2011 22:01

it's all ghastly and I am a Boden freak. Awful nothing I want except the mac.

kittya · 18/02/2011 22:10

Oh, you will talk yourself into buying one teeny weeny thing!!

Meggles76 · 19/02/2011 00:11

We all speand so much time on here moaning about Boden but still seem to manage to spend something... Johnnie must be highly amused!!

OP posts:
polyhymnia · 19/02/2011 00:13

Indeed! What mac, cabbageroses ?

higgle · 19/02/2011 06:52

I like the plain broderie trim dress, but £80+ ? This is the sort of dress M&S do very well for £49 max. Far too expensive for what it is.

moragbellingham · 19/02/2011 08:49

apple99 how strange - the site (using *spaniel's link) has reverted to full price without the 20% off since yesterday!

moragbellingham · 19/02/2011 08:51

Aha, you have to click on the 20% off button on the home page to get the discount before you start browsing!
