what shoes to wear with skinny jeans/leggings apart from boots?

hiya, i have recently discovered that i can just about pull off the leggings and boots look yey! had always thought you had to have really skinny legs for it but have found some combos which i think look quite nice.

only thing is apart from boots, cant figure out what shoes work best with skinny jeans. normal trainers look a bit odd and not warm enough for sandals/summer shoes.

any advice?

I also am only recently converted to the leggings/skinny jeans cult after being dragged kicking and screaming from my bootcut jeans.

I actually find, despite the fact I am not exactly a size 8, that ballet pumps/mary janes can look very cute at the end of a legging or skinny jean.

so, ballet pumps with skinnies...what do you wear under them? tights? socks? surely too cold for bare feet.

I'm a new convert to skinnies too but only with boots so far...looking forward to bare feet and pumps/sandals options in a few months time!

I wear leggings and skinny jeans a lot.

This time of year with a variety of boots from ankle to mid calf to knee high to over the knee. I will wear with Converse at the weekend and then once it gets warmer, switch to ballet flats, before switching to sandals.

I also think simple loafers can look chic and depending on your choice of the top/tunic, maybe look our for some jazz shoes - Clarks have a lovely soft navy pair - you could turn up the bottom of the skinny jeans and wear these.....

Nope. You can't wear your ballet pumps with any socks or tights, sorry.

I agree RF, only tend to wear bare feet with pumps...there is NO WAY i'm ready to go bare foot in Feb. April maybe!

Brogues are making a big comeback ladies, and you can wear with invisibles.

Pumps or ballets should not have socks really.

Summer - deck shoes, canvas like Puma tekkies or Converse low cuts. Flip flops only really work with leggings otherwise you look a bit Fairground in skinny jeans iykwim.

As well as knee and over the knee boots have you looked into ankle boots. Worker boots and those canvas boots with rubberised soles?

These go really well with skinnies, far better than regular converse imho

I wear really fine socks with pumps stripes and spots and things

Don't laugh everybody but I tried on a pair of heeled loafers in marks and they were FOOTGLOVE! I had skinnies on at the time and they looked good with them They were so comfy but I couldn't buy them thoughhere may go back for them.
