what shoes to wear with skinny jeans/leggings apart from boots?

hiya, i have recently discovered that i can just about pull off the leggings and boots look yey! had always thought you had to have really skinny legs for it but have found some combos which i think look quite nice.

only thing is apart from boots, cant figure out what shoes work best with skinny jeans. normal trainers look a bit odd and not warm enough for sandals/summer shoes.

any advice?

I don't do leggings but with skinny jeans in the spring/summer I invest in a couple of pairs of funky ballet style pumps ie: leopard print/sequined etc, sandals/flip-flops, for winter converse or ugg style things.

See I LIKE a brogue but they dont work with jeans unless ones shapely ankle is showing

the leather is so soft and lovely. and nice and cool in warmer weather.

I have an old vintage clarks pair but they are on their last legs and I wear them only occasionally in case they die on me!I really like that sort of shoe with wooly tights and dresses or striped socks (grown up ones!) turned over skinnies big sloppy jumper and satchel

what about a flat lace up pixie boot of sorts in a tan that you could wear with bare legs and a dress

Ha ha I remember them! No sadly not. Funnily enough I have never had so many compliments on a pair of shoes. More than my over the knee boots from Duo.

I get them for free though so it is easier to be experimental I guess! I have 4 pairs of worker ankle boots at the mo in various colours.

I have a couple of footwear rules.

Trainers with heels - no.
Peep-toes with block heels - no.
