about unwearable / painful shoes you just had to have in the sales but can hardly wear and just cant bear to part with so will live in the wardrobe.....probably for ever

Following on from the what are you wearing today thread....

I'll go first.

Kurt Geiger. To beautiful not to own, to dangerous to have!

Sigh - they spoke, i answered, i apologise Grin

Who is next??

bump?

voice, I can see why you had to have them (though are they actually black? On the website they look very very dark brown which would be GORGEOUS)

I fear that these might be worn only rarely, although they are actually quite comfortable for something so high (they are higher than they look!).

But I SWEAR that my tweed knot peep-toes from Jigsaw as seen here will be worn as often as possible. Even if it's to do the hoovering.

izzybiz · 04/02/2011 15:18

I bought a pair from DPs, grey suede with a zip around the platform sole, very similar shape to the ones OP links to, they are beautiful.

A 6 was too tight and a 7 slightly loose, I bought the 7 thinking inner soles etc.

Didn't work Sad I cannot walk in them, they're like flip flops.

They will stay in the wardrobe, looking lovely....

voiceofnoreason · 04/02/2011 15:22

Aqua - they are black - and black suede - they would be fabby with opaques - they have been worn once, they utterly killed my feet. But with seamed ultrasheer hold ups they were amazing.

I was talking about some Dune LP earlier and i dont have them yet but they could easily fall into the same place. But your advice on black opaques could tip me over the edge....

The thing is these make me go a little wobbly inside but i havent got anything i would be brave enough to wear them with!!

voiceofnoreason · 04/02/2011 15:23

izzy - post a link - :-) we can sympathise better that way ;-)

OP posts:
aquavit · 04/02/2011 15:26

Yup, they're lovely alright! I also like leopard print on a shoe boot.

izzy I have a pair of fabulous black suede heels from Office that are like flip-flops, probably because I tried them on with bare feet but wear them with tights. There should be a solution, shouldn't there?

amummyinwaiting · 04/02/2011 15:27

Voice they both are gorgeous and aquavit those are lovely too. As someone who broke there foot 18months and it has healed badly I can only dream of wearing shoes like that now- so feel like a bit of a pervert looking at your lovely shoes Grin

HettyAmaretti · 04/02/2011 15:29

Oh, those last ones are rather lovely aren't they. You don't need to wear anything brave with them though. Black, black and more black would be best.

HettyAmaretti · 04/02/2011 15:31

Oh, I'm only here to perve too. I can't wear anything like any of these, my feet are massively wide and even if I find a pair I can ram my flippers feet into they gape horribly.

voiceofnoreason · 04/02/2011 15:32

mummy in waiting - tis ok - shoe pervery permitted!

aqua - are you saying they are all slippery? Scholl do party feet doobreywhatsits that are like an invisible insole and heel grip. They work for me - a pair of plain aldo black patent heels have gone that way were rescued using same. They are much nicer than the half insole thingy they try and sell you when they dont have your size!

OP posts:
aquavit · 04/02/2011 15:35

voice, that sounds ideal, are they the same gel stuff that the original party feet insoles were made of? cos that's good and grippy

voiceofnoreason · 04/02/2011 15:49

Aquavit - have a look here I swear by em

OP posts:
voiceofnoreason · 04/02/2011 15:49

Aqua - yes they are really good and grippy :-)

OP posts:
voiceofnoreason · 04/02/2011 15:57

TA - they are scrummy such a shame not to wear them!

OP posts:
voiceofnoreason · 04/02/2011 15:59

Hetty - you must have some secrets in your wardrobe! But welcome - we dont judge here - only sympathise ;-)

OP posts:
TrillianAstra · 04/02/2011 16:02

Thanks :)

Yes they are beautiful. I could wear them if I spent 95% of my evening sitting down, I think.

voiceofnoreason · 04/02/2011 16:03

TA - but arent they more wearable being wedges and all? Thats what i find?

OP posts:
TrillianAstra · 04/02/2011 16:10

They should be. But they hurt. I will practise wearing them around the house.

On the other hand these (bought with the lovely discount code, but in black) are very comfy and wonderful.

FoundWanting · 04/02/2011 16:13

How wrong is it to want these just for their name?

KristinaM · 04/02/2011 16:13

voice - these leopard print ones are lovely

you just wear them with simple smart clothes, nothing revealing, let the shoes do the talking Wink

i mean simple shapes, no patterns and only block colour

i wear lots of purple and red but black woudl be fab too

voiceofnoreason · 04/02/2011 16:14

TA - ooooo i like them. I like them lots.

I saw these the other day - kinda in the Dune LP heels camp (as in what to wear em with)- but oh look at the colour - and the name lipstick

OP posts:
voiceofnoreason · 04/02/2011 16:15

Found - what a name! shoes - And no - not wrong to want em, and in this thread, not wrong to buy em and never wear them either!!!!

OP posts:
voiceofnoreason · 04/02/2011 16:16

KristinaM - I am with you - i am just lurking on the website waiting for a discount code or a sale :-)

OP posts:
TrillianAstra · 04/02/2011 16:17
