I often love the shape of tea dresses and the overall look of the print but then on closer inspection, the prints just don't live up to much.

Have you seen any nice ones around please?

Some nice ones on bigbeautifulbarbarabrown.com

I love that bird print Get Cutie dress, I've had my eye on it for ages but I do thing £95 is a bit steep.

threefeethighandrising · 28/01/2011 00:23

Oh, that's what a tea dress is! I want one of those (flattering for my shape - curvy) but I didn't know what they were called.

Thanks Smile

suzannah one looks really cheap to me with the mismatched front seam. Shame as the fabric looks so nice.

madammecholet · 28/01/2011 08:31

Clure I have the very same Get Cutie dress in Red Fan Birds...

LOVE it! HavingKittens you will get loads of wear out of it....

snowbobby · 28/01/2011 08:49

Can I ask about the Get Cutie sizing please?

I have this and I love it.

Also, ebay is brilliant for proper vintage tea dresses. And Rokit, although sometimes it's a bit hit-and-miss.

madammecholet · 28/01/2011 09:46

Get Cutie comes up small, as they are vintage size patterns. Use their guide and measure yourself.

I went up a size and cut out the label..Blush

PassionKiss · 28/01/2011 09:52

I've got a lovely Topshop one.

TooManyButtons · 28/01/2011 10:00

I love this one from Fatface - it's much nicer IRL

madammecholet · 28/01/2011 10:25

I like ones which are longer, to the knee, anyone seen any nice ones?

whoneedssleepanyway · 28/01/2011 10:32

I have got that one TooManyButtons, wearing it today in fact..!!! It is really nice, it is very casual but lovel print.

Clure · 28/01/2011 13:51

Yes Get Cutie are cut on the small side, (although I found the cap sleeve stuck out a bit too much for my liking) I am a size 6 in dresses and the size 8 fitted me although had to take the bust in (norkless!!) it's a beautiful dress though, I am thinking of getting one of the pencil dress this summer but can't decide on which of the gorgeous fabrics.

Some of those bigbeautifulbarbrabrown dresses look lush, has anyone ordered from them? If so what is their sizing like?

Love that Suzanna dress, it's so pretty

mmecholet this oasis dress looks a little longer
I also tried this red herring dress which is longer in length, it was a bit too long for me but such a pretty fabric
like the look of this one

madammecholet · 28/01/2011 14:00

I had to have the A line taken in on my Get Cutie dress as it was just a little too wide for my liking, but now it is perfect and I wear it alot.

Love those links Clure, not sure I can do the double ruffle on the bottom though at 37yrs, prefer a plain hem like the Holly one....

ditavonteesed · 28/01/2011 18:10

love these

snowbobby · 28/01/2011 18:32
