What is it about swallows on blouses that makes then so popular?

I saw this in their window today and thought it looked lovely. But was disapointed with the reality - it's made out of jersey and looked cheap. Sorry....

Oooh I like it though not sure how the colour would look in real life. Shame it's made of jersey.

Ahem Gregssausageroll - I'm 41 and was only eyeing up that blouse earlier this week! Although close up I wasn't so keen on the "drawings" of the swallows. Shame, the colour, the bow, and the concept ticked all my other boxes.

It does sadden me the amount of times I see people claiming to be too old to wear certain things on here. Yes, I agree there are some things that don't look good on those above 24 but for the most part it's all about attitude and wearing things in a tasteful way.

I would wear that blouse with a pencil skirt or with high waisted wide leg trousers personally.
