To be so happy to have a new pair of boots when they don't even have a heel... and are waterproof and good for ice and altogether sensible...

I'm doomed aren't I?

My thoughts are with you at this difficult time.

Maisiethemorningsidecat · 14/01/2011 22:24

Whats wrong with them? I like them - good under jeans or with woolly tight and short skirt a la Amelie over at Boden. I applaud your very good taste Per...

PerArduaAdNauseum · 14/01/2011 22:26

Gah! Just tried to link to a euthanasia website in an amusing way but they're all either terribly worthy or bloody nazis...

Beamur · 14/01/2011 22:26

They look like the boots my DP wears to do the allotment....
I quite like them though.

PerArduaAdNauseum · 14/01/2011 22:27

Thank you Maisie

Buggar - nothing smaller than a 6, but less than £40 is bloody marvellous Envy

Well India KNight linked to those on her blog IIRC

not sure if thats good or bad

and lol @tethers

PerArduaAdNauseum · 14/01/2011 22:30

male 6 = female 7.

Possibly the only time men ever talk their size down...

OP posts:
PerArduaAdNauseum · 14/01/2011 22:31

Yes, lol @tethers you cow

India Knight? Fuck. I really am old.

Cyb · 14/01/2011 22:32

I think those boots have a place

It just happens to be by the back door of a farmhouse after walking across a cow field

FellatioNelson · 14/01/2011 22:33

PMSL at Tethers. I just bought these so I feel your pain.

Maisiethemorningsidecat · 14/01/2011 22:34

Male 6 = woman 7 - really? You must have big old feet!

And I resent that statement that being in your 40s makes you middle aged. In no way am I middle aged (despite being very envious of Per's lovely new boots)

PerArduaAdNauseum · 14/01/2011 22:38

You know what cyb - I looked at those. I love Geiger stuff - but they don't have a bloody tread on the bottom. And all the fur lined stuff I found mostly had a heel - which just doesn't cut it on the trudge into work where I keep the teetery heels.

Why on earth do all the warm boots this year have pole dancer heels on them?

Oooh, I like them, Cyb - are they fur lined all the way down?

usualsuspect · 14/01/2011 22:40

I walked through M & S and liked some of the tops in there Blush

Maisiethemorningsidecat · 14/01/2011 22:41

I didn't say flipper feet - I merely hinted that you're probably very good at swimmingWink

arentfanny · 14/01/2011 22:42

I like those but I will need something to trump through the fields ti feed my sheep.

Cyb · 14/01/2011 22:42

Just buy those elasticated foot grip thingies and pop them onto NICE boots

PerArduaAdNauseum · 14/01/2011 22:43

when not actualy inhaling and spluttering I might be able to beat you on a crawl Maisie [hard stare]

OP posts:
PerArduaAdNauseum · 14/01/2011 22:44

There are no NICE boots that don't have silly heels. The foot grip thingies don't work. [harder stare]

Per - those rigger boots are issued free to all on the construction site I work on. Would be comfy if the steel toe caps weren't so heavy. By the end of the day my feet are going into spasm. But other than that they are great, and I have worn them on my allotment quite a lot, but never thought of them as fashion!

Maisiethemorningsidecat · 14/01/2011 22:54

I'm with you Per - flat boots every time please, you can walk so much faster in them.

I'm afraid, however, that my dainty 4.5s mean that you will beat me no matter what stroke is involved Wink Grin
