Can make my mind up whether I like this shop or not, any takers?

I used to like zara, not so keen any more. good for trousers - always too long but they alter them

yes the trousers are far to long.

Fimbo · 27/09/2005 13:31

Yes, I liked the childrens clothes too, but grudged £49.00 for a pair of kids boots for my dd especially as she had to sit on the floor to try them on!! It felt like a slightly more upmarket H & M at twice the price.

definitely liks H&M during sales time - and can be too 'fashion' orientated IYKWIM

RayMacCooney · 27/09/2005 13:35

some nice stuff in the 'zara basics' range though- i got a really nice fitted polo for £9 to which my best frend says 'wow, fantastic boobs' every time he sees it

teeavee · 27/09/2005 13:41

Ray - are you male or female in RL????

RayMacCooney · 27/09/2005 13:47

female!

And i lie actually, he has just informed me that he says 'great tits'

katierocket · 27/09/2005 13:53

indeed Cod, sadly.

teeavee · 27/09/2005 13:54

glad you don't suffer from manboobs, ray!

RayMacCooney · 27/09/2005 13:54

pmsl

no i have large norks.

Frankief · 27/09/2005 13:54

Like the clothes, some good bargins to be had but some overpriced stuff too. Casual stuff nice and cheep too. I like the childrens stuff but quite expensive (e.g. £17.99 for cotton trousers).

Along the same thread....what about Mango? I have friends with really nice stuff from there but I can never find it. Also, Mango stuff never seems to fit....I am an average size 10 but their clothes never fir quire right.

Any comments on Mango?

MascaraOHara · 27/09/2005 13:54

I used to like it but have gone off it, haven't bought anything for a while.

Can't wear their tops as I'm tall and have boobs... love the trousers because they're long!

triceratops · 27/09/2005 13:55

won't fit over my tits. fabric tends to be a bit cheap.

MascaraOHara · 27/09/2005 13:56

same comments apply to mango - though trousers are sometimes a funny cut (too big round waist, too small round thighs and bum... made for long tall waifs I think)

teeavee · 27/09/2005 13:56

Mango has weird ultra-small sizing, and the cut can be v. dodgy on their clothes.
also a bit more teenagery...
I've got a brill canvas jacket from there that I've worn and worn...

welshmum · 27/09/2005 13:57

Zara - good for bags - handbags....

Tallgirl · 27/09/2005 13:57

Size 8 and size 10!! Pah!!

Dont think they go up to my size in Zara - well it is all very skimpy!

teeavee · 27/09/2005 13:57

I bough a polonexk from mango which was a lovely colour - after one wash it went all weird, can't wear it now - agree that fabric can be cheap and nasty
it's the spanish top shop

MascaraOHara · 27/09/2005 13:58

NO, I buy loads of work trousers from Mango - long wooley, and you can get funky patterns in Mango, different from plain old next suit trousers
