carmex

RiojaLover75 · 07/12/2010 10:30

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour lip balm (for over night, so it doesn't get lost at school) and a cheap one for during the day.

MooMinCow · 07/12/2010 10:47

Blistex lip cream - not the one in the plastic tube, but the small one in a metal tube. Hardcore stuff but works a treat on really sore/chapped lips. Don't squidge too much out as sometimes it doesn't stop!

here's the link

Oh, and all Blistex are on 2 for £3 in Superdrug (no, I don't work for them, and yes I stocked up yesterday!)

Carmex is v.good too. - Vaseline shite imo on lips!

theresapotatoundermysink · 07/12/2010 10:49

Nivea lip balms are the shiz niz.

chimchar · 07/12/2010 10:49

i have used leftover lasinoh nipple cream on very sore lips....its so greasy but really works.Xmas Smile

moragbellingham · 07/12/2010 13:07

I've been using the fruit chapsticks (2 for £2 in Boots) since my schooldays and have never found anything better.

Palmers is also good with nice smell.

Korres is lovely but can't afford to lose/replace constantly.

IWouldNotCouldNotWithAGoat · 07/12/2010 13:09

Carmex

domesticsluttery · 07/12/2010 13:09

Virgin Vie Guardian Angel balm (use sparingly) is fab.

orangina · 07/12/2010 13:24

carmex. Might be a bit strong for your dd though...

missmartha · 07/12/2010 13:56

Badger Balm. I love it.

gailforce1 · 07/12/2010 15:01

Boots essentials lipsalve SPF 15 in blue packaging. 99pence. Brillant valve and it does not taste!!

HaveToWearHeels · 07/12/2010 15:03

Carmex.

Flumptious · 07/12/2010 15:04

Agree with MooMinCow.
I have v sensitive lips and can't wear lipstick or any lip salves. Vaseline works most of the time but when they get proper sore, blisteze [or blistex as it is now] is the only way.

c0rns1lk · 07/12/2010 15:04

lansinoh

lucykate · 07/12/2010 15:22

i've found chapstick medicated (the blue one) to be really good in this weather.

slug · 07/12/2010 16:33

Cymes for cold sores and dry cracked lips. Available from Boots. Failing that, Waitrose baby bottom butter is the canine's testicles.

WhatsWrongWithYou · 07/12/2010 16:37

Carmex again - heavy duty and stings a bit at first but works like magic.

Just cleared DS's scabby lips in two days, and they were scabby as only a 15yo boy's can be!

Alouiseg · 07/12/2010 16:37

Kiehls lip balm no 1.

Has sorted out the ds' scabby mouths since Saturday evening!! I'm convinced it's helped my split lip to mend really quickly too.

Burts bees- all natural one of the few which I'm not allergic too.

Montifer · 07/12/2010 22:10

Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream or lip balm or Lansinoh - both magically transform sore, dry lips

trumpton · 07/12/2010 22:24

I had horrific dried and chapped lips after the last coldsore and found Lush honey lip balm WONDERFUL. Better than anything I had tried EVER.

Lilymaid · 07/12/2010 22:28

Another vote for EA Eight Hour lip balm - but it costs nearly £20. Also like Burts Bees.

dietcokesholidaysarecoming · 07/12/2010 22:29

Lanisoh or guardian angel balm.

Also like the lidls stick lipbalm

controlfreakery · 07/12/2010 22:31

khiels. only one that works for me.
