Handmade Silver Jewellry for 21st present.

I'm looking for a handmade silver pendant or necklace for my DD's 21st. She's a small built delicate featured girl, has simple tastes, likes walking in the country, is a musician. So wouldn't want anything really out there or OTT.

I've been trawling the internet and come up with the following, can I have opinions please? - I don't mind if you think they are all awful, or a 21 year old wouldn't be caught dead wearing them. These are the things I need to know. Oh and any alternative suggestions gratefully received TIA Smile

too ordinary?

simple but nice

pretty, I think

think this is my favourite

chunkier

a bit woo?

I like the jasmine blossom necklace and the one that is your favourite. Have you ever looked at alex monroe jewellery ? It's quite pricey but a little bit different...

p.s all the gold necklaces also come in silver.

tethersend · 27/11/2010 18:38

1 = a bit new-agey
2 = better but not very special, although leaves/country link might work...
3 = lovely, very unusual
4 = very nice, vintage feel
5 = bit blokey
6 = trying too hard

three or four, but three is my fave.

I really like the jasmine blossom, but the one you like is definitely a close second.

Thanks for answering so fast Smile some great suggestions - I like that site Peggotty, I'll have a good browse later.

It's nice to have a range of opinions (DH is worse than useless for consulation in these matters). Sparklystockings - I was worried my taste would be too old. I would like something different and a bit quirky - can't quite find what I want. I do have a few tesco vouchers.

These aren't all silver but thay are really beautiful. She has made stuff for me and I love it.

MiniMarmite · 27/11/2010 19:45

How about flash jordan?

I have a couple of silver necklaces made by him and his sister (Sarah Jordan) made my engagement and wedding rings.

Love all the jewellery for me (hint hint DH) but...

you know your daughter better than anyone (natch) but the few 18-25 year olds I know would prefer jewellery that has some blatant, recognisable street-cred i.e something from Tiffany's.

providentielle · 27/11/2010 23:52

How about this is quite unusual but simple and lovely.

My pc is blocking the site moondog linked saying threat detected Confused Hmm

moondog · 28/11/2010 09:35

Providentielle, that came up for me a few times too. Hmm. I will email and tell her as I want her to do something else for me as I was so pleased with the 1st thing.

anotherbrickinthewall · 28/11/2010 09:41

that site Moondog linked came up fine first time for me, (I'm on a linux netbook btw).

anotherbrickinthewall · 28/11/2010 09:43

I like 3 and 4 better than the others. 6 was nice, but quite quirky so depends on her taste.
