maxis now you're talking

bargain from oasis?

AngryPixie · 23/11/2010 19:36

Of yours, the purple asos is glam but what the hell would you cover up with for winter?

I don't like number 2

Number 3 is elegant

AngryPixie · 23/11/2010 19:37

oasis long sleeves?

mummynoseynora · 23/11/2010 19:47

Only logic on Maxi's (please correct me if I'm wrong, don't own one) is they must cover a lot, ie - my thighs!

Loving the Oasis ones, the long sleeves one might make me look like a witch mind, short with shorter arms! What are their sizes like? Never had anything from there.....

oh and am Confused about the covering up? lol - god I am SO out of the game....

This is nice, especially with a fake fur jacket... So is this

catinthehat2 · 23/11/2010 20:00

Angry's first one looks frumpy to me - dislike that triple layered lampsahde effect.
Second one looks rampantly gorgeous, I'm trying (& failing) to pick faults with it so I don't send off for it.

mummynoseynora · 23/11/2010 20:01

Like the first one Tether, but would it be too clingy for my wobbly bits etc?!Confused

OP posts:
catinthehat2 · 23/11/2010 20:02

HAng on, isn't the AManda WAkely one see through? Shock

mummynoseynora · 23/11/2010 20:04

catinthehat - I love the second oasis one too, but it so would look ridiculous on me... wouldn't it?!

I reckon if you've got a baby middle, the trick would be to get some Spanx type underbobs. THe jewelled bit goes above that and emphasises your chest - if you are a 16 should be something worth showing there! THe rest of it - excellent colour according to my monitor, flattering sleeves, swishy skirt, not fleshy hence warmish for winter. Worth a try?

tethersend · 23/11/2010 20:23

Not see through, but sparkly!

Not sure what is a bigger sin TBH Grin

catinthehat2 · 23/11/2010 20:26

if it was on my chest, see through would be a crime against humanity.. Confused

mummynoseynora · 24/11/2010 08:15

ok.... chest - check! (with a decent bra as they are now rather saggy post babies!)

Its the sleeves I am worrying about - I have short arms! Have never got on with long sleeves really....

I love a bit of sparkle!

oh I don't bloody know!! Also need it to be as cheap as humanly possible (whilst being classy and glam! Confused ) as we are off on holiday in less than 2 weeks and will need spending money! arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

on the good side I have started the 30 day shred in a bid to look a bit good in it!

Alibobster · 24/11/2010 10:55

Have a look on BooHoo.com . They have hundreds of dresses, really nice and inexpensive too

waveknight · 24/11/2010 11:06

I've just got a lovely dress from kaleidescope. You have to wade through the frumpy stuff but you can find a bargain.

waveknight · 24/11/2010 11:12

www.kaleidoscope.co.uk

mummynoseynora · 24/11/2010 11:18

not keen on that mermaid.... not a big one for patterns

Will have a look at those sites thanks Ali and wave
