I currently have some Crabtree & Evelyn Hand Therapy but its fast running out and I am keen to get an alternative thats not so pricey if possible.

body shop hemp is really good

soyabean · 24/10/2010 20:52

Norwegian formula is THE BEST - £3 ish from Boots etc

BelligerentGhoul · 24/10/2010 20:55

I like Clarins - not cheap but a huge tube and lasts for ages.

Or Aveeno. Or Jergens. Both from Boots and cheap.

notnearlyasblondasiwas · 24/10/2010 20:59

Second for Aveeno, their 24 hour cream is amazing, lasts through handwashing and is fantastic

Meglet · 24/10/2010 20:59

Lush - Helping Hands. Oily but it works. Good for overnight.

Body shop Hemp

pinguwings · 24/10/2010 20:59

Another vote for body shop hemp, great stuff

KarenHL · 24/10/2010 21:01

If you get to the point where your skin is so dry it cracks and gets very itchy, DH recommends Norwegian formula (don't need to use much, last ages, cheap, and widely available).

HonestyBox · 24/10/2010 21:16

I second the Lush creams on a budget or Clarins which is the best imo.

Millie1 · 24/10/2010 21:40

I loooove Jurlique handcreams - they do for my hands what other handcreams can't Grin!

LittleCheesyPineappleOne · 24/10/2010 21:44

Clarins is lovely - have used it for years.

coffeenut · 24/10/2010 21:57

Body shop hemp. I have tried the others and this is the best.

MiasmARGGG · 24/10/2010 22:00

Boring cheap aqueous cream is the best moisturizer you will find :)

DrEeeville · 24/10/2010 22:02

aveeno is the best ime. my hands look about 10 years younger within seconds of running it in.

happilyeverafter · 24/10/2010 22:23

Body Shop hemp is my favourite.

I also have nivea, soap & glory and l'occitane on the go but the hemp is the most hardcore.

Hohumchops · 24/10/2010 22:28

Garnier - the red tube - cheap and the ONLY one that works - it's amazing stuff, it really is. Will sort out split skin between fingers in 24 hours! Don't bother spending a fortune - it's the content that matters.

nicolamumof3 · 24/10/2010 22:31

flexitol soothed my very chapped and bleeding hands last winter..they are just starting again now and im slathering on every opportunity!

Sleepingonthebus · 24/10/2010 22:35

I use Body Shop almond oil hand and nail cream

LelloLorry · 24/10/2010 22:37

I second the Garnier Hand repair, it's fab!

You can buy it at (well, everywhere), for about 3-4 quid. :)

bubaluba · 24/10/2010 22:42

this works perfect hands. Won best hand cream in Cosmo a couple of months ago (that's how I found out about it). Smells gorgeous and only need a little at a time. Pricey but they are donating part of the price to Kids Company at the moment if you buy from their website.

teddymum · 24/10/2010 23:13

I love Molton Brown's Naran Ji hand cream. It's not sticky and leaves your hands smelling sooo lovely. Costs £10 but if you get this months marie claire you get a free £10 off Molton Brown voucher, so for the price of the magazine you get a free hand cream and a free nail polish on the front cover.

Rannaldini · 24/10/2010 23:13

jurlique or lizzie arden

pollyblue · 24/10/2010 23:25

Good old Astral cream, in a blue tub. Quite rich but absorbs really well, the only cream I've tried that sorted out my really rough old housemaids hands Grin

twinky · 25/10/2010 10:47

Used to love the Clarins one but am too skint to afford it now. Don't laugh but I am now a convert to Aldi's. It's only something like 40p a tube and is fantastic on my dry hands.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 25/10/2010 10:49

Aveeno, or L'Occitane are my favourites.
