here

mil wants to buy dd this dress in cream for xmas

very sweet of mil, as she saw dd eyeing it up in mils catalogueBlush
dd was saying i like this, i like this Blush
i think she likes the diamond things on the neckline.

my only concern is will it be warm enough and if its not what should we put with it?

I think it looks pretty styled the way Boden does it, like this.

carriedababi · 19/10/2010 18:46

thanks for the reply bonsoirSmile

oh i like that, althugh noy sure we are funky enough to carry that off.
iyswim!

the mix together.

however thta zebra cardi wouldn't go a miss to go with other things.

hmm what else could i go for if i wanted a safer option?

Eek to the maribou! I think the dress has enough detail on it's own, you just need something plain with it. I too love it with the zebra, but if you're not sure, then a plain cardi, perhaps in a jewel shade of green or purple. The Boden one comes in a lovely purple, or something like :

this, perhaps

Bonsoir · 19/10/2010 19:40

My DD has that Monsoon maribou capelet in cream, for dressing up. It is very popular with all her friends when they come to play Smile.

carriedababi · 19/10/2010 19:47

hmm must admit i would feel safer going for the jewel colour plain option.
although maybe thats not such a good thing!

i thought id get her a little monsoon tiara tooGrin
what do you think!

was going to put the dress with her silver ballet pumps {bonsoirs tip from years ago}

i love the zebra stripe. I would most likely go for that type of styling myself. Or a cream cardi to match the dress, maybe with sparkle thread through it to give it a bit of celebration, but, on reflection, no, i prefer the zebra stripe!

Bonsoir · 19/10/2010 19:55

Silver ballet flats would be lovely, as would pewter.

Bonsoir · 19/10/2010 19:56

Tiara absolutely indispensable Grin.

carriedababi · 19/10/2010 21:45

oh i might get dd a tiara tomorrow then Grin

good to have one for the dressing up box i guess.

i'll try and get one of those capes too, although i'll try and get one from ebay.
then if it looks too ott, she can have it for dressing up.

My DD has a peacock feather hairband for going out - feathers are very fashionable for hair ornaments this year! And it looks fab!

carriedababi · 20/10/2010 13:31

oh where did you get that?

OP posts:
Bonsoir · 20/10/2010 13:33

Not online, I'm afraid - in a shop in Paris. I have a lovely peacock feather necklace!

But I'm sure that you'll find feather hairbands somewhere if you hunt around - they are very fashionable!

Bonsoir · 20/10/2010 13:34

Look. Not as nice as DD's, but not bad either.

Lancelottie · 20/10/2010 13:34

Is my screen the only one in which the first link suggests 'completing the look' with camouflage combat trousers Confused?

carriedababi · 20/10/2010 13:36

damn i hoped you wasn't going to say in paris!

yes i like the monsoon one,was in there this am but didn't see that

i'll look about

Has your DD got a nice evening bag? My DD loves the pink sequinned one her brothers gave her for her fourth birthday (still going strong!).

Bonsoir · 20/10/2010 13:43

More feathers

carriedababi · 20/10/2010 13:48

oh looks like dd will be in for a few treats
Grin

she has a little handbag, but a small brown croc skin leathery one[one one of mine i didn't want]
but i think she would love something more girly.

OP posts:
carriedababi · 20/10/2010 17:29

bonsoir herewhat do you think?

also i want to ask your advice about something else if your about...

OP posts:
Bonsoir · 21/10/2010 08:41

Oh I'm sure your DD would love that feather/diamanté headdress!!!

traceybath · 21/10/2010 10:50

Is it very wrong that I want the zebra cardigan and a feather headband for me Smile

Bonsoir · 21/10/2010 11:23

No tracey, I quite understand the feeling Smile.

I have a fabulous feather necklace from Bimbo & Lola that is very grown-up but meets all sorts of girly fantasies nonetheless!
