mil is buying dd the boden sparkly dress, what sort of cardi/something should i put with it?

mil wants to buy dd this dress in cream for xmas

very sweet of mil, as she saw dd eyeing it up in mils catalogue
dd was saying i like this, i like this
i think she likes the diamond things on the neckline.

my only concern is will it be warm enough and if its not what should we put with it?

DD had her birthday yesterday. I ordered the Boden zebra stripe cardigan and the sparkly dress for her, but although Boden sent the cardigan almost overnight and promised the dress a fortnight later, I received a letter 3 days before DD's birthday to say the dress was no longer available . Cue mad rush to find something else and bought a fab pale pink dress with discreet sequins in Charabia, with a separate white rabbit ribbon tie collar, which ended up looking great with the zebra stripe cardigan and a little silver sequinned evening purse on a strap from Monsoon.

I was pretty pleased with the styling .
