I need an Autumn jacket, much to dh's protestations. Don't like denim or anything shiny, also not too short. Any ideas please?

codsicle · 12/09/2005 11:44

prob too short it looks really nice in rl

MrsMills · 12/09/2005 11:47

Very nice, however I'm not good with furry collars, I end up with bits in my mouth. Obviously I want the worlds most perfectly cut jacket, any ideas where it might be?

the straps look so nice

TracyK · 12/09/2005 11:48

furry/sheepskinny type waistcoats are all in the shops now. I see myself in one with a skinnypair or jeans and a pair of Ugg/Mukluk boots. (not going to happen though - will stick to joggies and trainers!)

I found it today. Perfect, absolutely perfect.
yippee

Tried on about 15-20 jackets, scoured just about every clothes shop and found it just as I had given up. Isn't it sad how a piece of material can make me so giddy with happiness!

Looks lovely MrsM. Hat too or not?

Gobbledigook · 15/09/2005 11:21

That's really nice - I love these threads - I won't have to go shopping for myself!

MrsMills · 15/09/2005 14:28

Ooh, a hat, like it! Never thought about it really.

Have we had a hat thread recently?

Tbh I wouldn't know where to start, the trauma of finding the coat was enough.

Wish I had the bottle to wear a hat, as I quite suit them. They make my head itch though. Reminds me of being at school for some reason.

I'm the same - quite suit hats and wear one maybe one day a year and then bottle out of it the rest of the time. But this year I'm going to be wearing one as I'll be taking ds to nursery and then onto work and I don't think a brolly is feasible with a wriggly ds.

MrsMills · 16/09/2005 18:19

What sort of hat do you have Trakyk? Any links per chance?

Do you notice people wearing hats, or do they feel more conspicuous than they really are?

You know, I might just do it. Go and buy one of those gorgeous hats and be the first mother in the playground to wear one. That means when anyone else does, they will be copying off me.

Maybe that's all they're waiting for?
