I need an Autumn jacket, much to dh's protestations. Don't like denim or anything shiny, also not too short. Any ideas please?

sorry about that MrsMills - -but I hate getting wet walking to school and just felt the need

puff · 16/09/2005 18:40

I love the principles one, not sure it would cope with my cleavage, but worth a go.

puff · 16/09/2005 18:48

I really like Number 7 on here but it needs to be a 10th of the price and prob not for the playground!

Chillynips · 16/09/2005 18:49

Well I'm taking my original jacket back, it's too short for me. I did buy this yesterday. It does look much nicer on me than it does in the picture. It's the stitched dufffle jacket, in neutral.

So perhaps I could get fisherman hat ? In the fable multi strip?

v. nice -I like the hat that Erin O'Connor is wearing for M&S advert - you cansee it on their web site. It's like a black cord Oliver type cap. But i think you may need to look ind of masculine/tomboyish to wear it well.
The one I wear is a cream/coffee colour burberry one - kind of bucket hat, with a cream coloured Mac.
Or I have a favourite old, brown furry one with a hood.

puff · 19/09/2005 13:05

Ok, I had success in M&S - bought a smart lightweight knee length coat and a casual black suede-like jacket with a little bit of furry trim. Already have a wax jacket type thing with hood if it's raining, so that's me sorted for winter.

TracyK · 20/09/2005 09:09

dare I mention boots?

puff · 20/09/2005 09:15

Can I also celebrate the fact that I can now wear a size 14, having at my largest, hit a size 26!!!

TracyK · 20/09/2005 09:25

bloody hell - that's some going - well done Puff. Esp as an M&S size 14 is small!

puff · 20/09/2005 09:28

Thanks Tracey - I must admit, I did a little hop skip and jump in the shop when I realised the 16 was a bit too big. Can't get into 14 trousers yet though due to tum !
