I'm having my long hair chopped today, and no one knows lol

My mum is coming round to have the kids, and she thinks I am just going for a trim and a few layers, but I am having my just past shoulder length hair, cut into a very short bob.

I haven't told anyone because they will talk me out of it. I did mention it to my mum the other week and she said 'ohhh no it is nice how it is'.

I recently had a fringe put in and everyone loved it, including me, but I have to wear my hair up for work now, and I look about 12 then, and I hate it.

So, smarter more grown up bob I think.

Can't wait to see my mum and the dc's reaction later lol.

I also had a look at your profile pic and I think a bob will really suit you.

phipps · 16/10/2010 13:25

Your hair does look lovely as it has but if you want a change, you should have one.

MaryAnnSingleton · 16/10/2010 19:07

how was it ? ! choppy bob will look ace on you I bet

jamaisjedors · 16/10/2010 20:43

after?

MrsMorgan · 16/10/2010 21:08

Right, it's done. I am not sure lol. I liked it until I took a pic, and now I am unsure.

Will upload the pic now.

Ds very seriously said to me 'will i get to like it evetually' LOL.

He said he does though now.

I like it! Suits you very much, good for you having a change, besides it will grow back soon.

tefal · 16/10/2010 21:10

Ooooh, I like it very much! You will be unsure because it is such a difference. Give it a few days of washing and styling yourself and you will feel more confident about it.

I really like it.

southeastastralbeing · 16/10/2010 21:13

looks nice! your son is very sweet! does he like it?

my mate once had her really long hair cut off and her son wouldn't talk to her for ages Grin

Noisesinmyhead · 16/10/2010 21:14

Like it very much. I might brush the fringe straighter down a bit more like your before photo but really like it. Whenever I change my hair (which I do quite often - easier than losing weight in my case!), I wear more make up than normal for the first few days to sort of balance it out.

Lol you all talk so much sense.

I got a new brighter lipstick on my way home to balance it out lol.

My ds looked horrifed when he saw it, and said he prefers it long, but that he does like it lol.

Dd2 ran away Hmm

I think i'd prefer it more poofed up iykwim.

Hopefully once I have faffed with it myself it will look better.

I am having a bit of a wobble I think. I have a night out in two weeks too.

The length is great. The fringe was better before.

luckykitty · 16/10/2010 21:23

MrsMorgan your new hair looks fab Smile

greaseistheword · 16/10/2010 21:26

your hair really suits you.it looks great.

kuckingfunt · 16/10/2010 21:26

I like it a lot, really suits you.

Meggles76 · 16/10/2010 21:34

I like. Much more 'grown up'. I would play about with the fringe after washing

MrsMorgan · 16/10/2010 21:36

The problem with my fringe, is that it is alot thicker one side than the other, and has a natural parting, so I am constantly brushing it over to get a full fringe.

Will try it with a fuller fringe tomorrow though just to see what it's like.

Bit worried i have made a mistake now Confused

Def not a mistake!

OldPramLady · 16/10/2010 21:40

I NEVER like my hair when it is just done.
Also your hair needs to 'settle' in, it has just had a traumatic experience after all Wink
I am sure in a couple of weeks, you will catch sight of yourself and think WOW! :)

MrsMorgan · 16/10/2010 21:41

Lol @ traumatic experiance

The hairdresser said she thought it looked fab, and made me look five yrs older. Is that good lol ??

Ahh well it's done now anyway.
