Well my stomach definitely doesn't need any more bulk adding to it...and I've heard side-fastening trousers are the way to go!

Can anyone tell me where I can get a nice pair?

Can I join in as I want a black pair.

ladylush · 22/09/2010 22:51

they are very flattering........marks place.

or back zip - I bought some from French connection a few years ago that are still going strong. Mind you DH does have a habit of unziping them - somewhat too easy .

Not very exciting but have side zips

esor · 23/09/2010 07:37

Whoops, link does not appear to work. Type in side zips in search bar.

Yes, I have a wide leg pair from M&S, sorry I have not worked out how to do links yet. They are very neat and smooth on the waist and hips and then become very swishy at bottom, so you can 'hide' a good clonky heal or wedge and get a 1970's kind of feel.
Admittedly I have had to have them altered(tapered at waist ,hips and thighs) as M&S don't do size 6's in 99.9% of thier clothes and those that are are still huge but hey this is another thread-I'll get off my soap box !

Links are easy to go.

Double click on the link and click on copy, paste on to the place you want it and put in front of it and at the end.

i have to say, i'm wearing a pair of side fastening trousers today (from river island) and i was just thinking about 10 minutes ago that i'm not going to wear them again as they are totally UNflattering on my stomach... poss that's also because they are slightly high in the waist, so they seem to accentuate my (not enormous but definitely there) stomach

thumbwitch · 23/09/2010 11:34

God really? the only non-front fastening trousers I've ever had have made my stomach look waaaay bigger because they often put pleats in them and they look ginormous! Never found any decent side-fasteners yet but I've probably been looking in the wrong places...

ladylush · 23/09/2010 11:44

I find them slimming to the hip and bottom rather than tummy

thumbwitch · 23/09/2010 12:33

I should say that I mostly found them bad when sitting down - they looked all right standing up, but had a tendency to really puff up at the front when sitting, looking like I had an enormous belly.
