Has anyone else had this done and if so how long did you pay for? Spa are offering 15 min or 30 min but I wonder if 30 min will be too long/will be boring??? Were you pleased with the results??

Ineedsomesleep · 12/09/2010 09:51

Yuk.

I have done this abroad. Think I spent about 45 mins. There were different pools with different sized fish. The little fish tickled. The big fish actually bit! To be honest, it didn't make my feet smooth, as I had hoped. So not really sure what the benefit was.

OlaJordansBodyDouble · 12/09/2010 10:06

I had this done. I paid £10 for 15 minutes and it was great.Grin

15 minutes was long enough to make a real difference and my feet looked and felt much smoother and softer.

It tickles a bit, but that's all. I'm going again next week.

Will deffo report back! Have booked my mother in too for a "surprise treat", hope that she won't be disappointed!

Didn't pay for this to be done, but went diving and the fish cleaned up my poor trek blistered feet. It was intriguing when it happened, but I wouldn't go out of my way to do it in a spa setting. Would much prefer a good foot massage from healing hands. My initial reaction would be that 30 minutes would be too long.

oldenoughtowearpurple · 12/09/2010 10:14

I had it done at a music festival; think £5 for 10 mins. It was lovely! a bit tickly; didnt' make a lot of difference to my feet but definitely worked on my DP's thick skinned knobbly lumps of meat. Would defintely do it again.

mysteryfairy · 12/09/2010 10:53

A friend tried to get me to have it done but I refused as I hate fish and it was twice the price of a pedicure at my normal place and you didn't even end up with nicely polished toes!

Friend went anyway and said it was hideous and she had to keep pulling her feet out of the water as it was such a grim experience. Apparently the longest 20 mins of her life...

Alouiseg · 12/09/2010 11:00

I want to do this. Where are you having it?

OlaJordansBodyDouble · 12/09/2010 11:13

I had mine done in Norwich. The place was called 'FishSpa', and I think it is a chain.

TheProvincialLady · 12/09/2010 11:16

What bad things must you have to do to come back as a foot skin eating fish? Bleugh.

chimchar · 12/09/2010 11:19

oh god....i'm panicing just reading...i HATE fish!!! meant to be really effective though...good luck!

muggglewump · 12/09/2010 11:20

You must have to be all kinds of evil.

vesela · 12/09/2010 11:39

I shouldn't have clicked on this thread. Ack.

YunoYurbubson · 12/09/2010 11:43

I had this done. It was interesting but didn't really achieve anything. I did 30 minutes. I have since found out that the bigger the fish the more effective the treatment. Ours were tiddlers.

Rockbird · 12/09/2010 11:49

Dear God, buy a ped egg!

LaDiDaDi · 12/09/2010 11:54

It's a tenner for 15 min or 15quid for 30 min.

will be going here

It was really ticklish at first (have quite ticklish feet anyway) but after a while I hardly noticed it, did it for 30 mins I think whilst abroad earlier in the year. My feet were so smooth and lovely after :)

goodmanners · 12/09/2010 12:01

What kind of fish are they? never heard of this before - dh has a small tank atm with about 80 baby koi carp in it - shall i just put my hooves in there? DH has hideous feet.
