Do you like padded bras?

I've recently bought some new bras after having breastfed forever and a day. Am very pleased how much nicer I look with a decent underwired bra! But I'm really surprised that the majority of bras in the shops seem to be padded. Do you wear padded or unpadded bras? Is it worth buying padded?

Branster and Pruni YES!
I totally agree that sounds just like me!
Thankyou I thought I was the only one to deflate!

What's a t-shirt bra? I find bras really uncomfortable, and never wore them before I had the children (I was a small B cup). Now I am a droopy A cup I feel that I could do with some help! I do have some padded bras which were fitted properly by the John Lewis bra ladies, but find them very uncomfortable (I feel like I'm in harness). Any other options would be good!

T shirt bra woman here also. My A sized petit pois fill the teenage ones nicely, and they cost less if you buy them from the kids section. T shirt bras also = no pointy nipples - very disconcerting trying to have a conversation with DS's Headteacher (FGS!) who has this problem constantly. I'm rambling...

I'm a gel bra girl too I love the Ultimo gel bra, costs a bit but lasts forever and looks great

mumtosomeone · 31/08/2005 17:04

dont need the padding!!!

jac34 · 31/08/2005 17:07

NO NO NO !!!!!
I'm big enough as it is, don't need the padding!!
I was looking at some lovely bras today but most had padding, it seems to be all the rage at the moment

cupcakes · 31/08/2005 17:35

I had decided that I was quite happy with my size (36c) and didn't need a padded bra - till I tried a t-shirt one. I may like the size of my boobs but their shape leaves a lot to be desired and the padded bra corrects that (if you know what I mean!).
Gap Body do the best nude coloured ones.

mumtosomeone · 31/08/2005 20:36

ooo might try one then!!!

mumtosomeone · 01/09/2005 16:06

just bought one from new look for £5!!!
Kids were laughing at the size of it!!!!

RachD · 01/09/2005 16:19

Sorry to sound conceited, but I have great boobs !!!!!
Dh says so, all my friends think so.
38c, so a reasonable size - although a little droopier than they were pre pregnancy

But I still wear a slightly paddded bra.
Like a t-shirt bra.
Best thing ever.
So comfy.
Gives a little bit of push up aswell.
Everyone should have atleast one.
I wear nothing else.

Nooka, I have spent hours and hours and alot of money , having my bust both measured in Marks & Sparks and in the USA.
Bought all the bras recommended to me.
So uncomfortable.

The best bra I ever had - and I bought about 8 of them all in all, M&S have now stopped making !

A comfy bra is so important.

RachD · 01/09/2005 16:26

not necessarily huge bazookas, coddy.
Mine are nice, shapely, round.
Just good solid (ish) boobs !!

frannyf · 01/09/2005 16:32

T-shirt bras are lovely. Do they count as padded or not? I thought padded was those ones with the detachable doodahs in.

mumtosomeone · 01/09/2005 18:26

mine are big,but a bit saggy!!!
After feeding five!! Told if i wore a decent bra I would get my umph back..so i am waitin!!!

gingerbear · 01/09/2005 18:34

I like tshirt bras, they are slightly padded and stop the 'chapel hat peg' look.

mumtosomeone · 02/09/2005 07:25

any one want a padded bra!!! didnt fit!

nightowl · 02/09/2005 07:32

very annoying..i need underwired bras (not thin lacy underwired, need firm bras to make up for lack of firm boobs) but they do all seem to be full of padding. im an F cup...i REALLY dont need padding!!

mumtosomeone · 02/09/2005 07:33

me too. Got a couple from Asda not padded. infact I never buy padded usually,
Only bought this one cos someone told me it would give me a better shape, and it was in the sale!!
Do you want to try it!!!

NomDePlume · 06/09/2005 19:20

I buy unpadded, mainly because they tend not to sell padded bras in my size ! I do like 'moulded cup' bras though, like t-shirt ones. They don't give me the 'tits for earrings' effect that normal wonderbra type padded bras do, but they are handy for a smooth line under clothes and minimal nipple exposure.

SleepySuzy · 06/09/2005 19:21

Me too, nightowl

milosmum · 06/09/2005 19:23

im a padded girl and have C's- just like the shape of padded
