OP posts:
NomDePlume · 12/08/2010 10:30

I still can't 'read' the bloody reviews, only see the star rating Angry. Am I the only one ?

vintage3 · 12/08/2010 10:39

my review is up but was a good one ,in fact it`s quite cringeworthy

vintage3 · 12/08/2010 10:43

i have just read one of yours deepinlaundry i`m glad you like that coat as i have my eye on it

SerendipityAlways · 12/08/2010 10:46

One of my negative reviews is up - Copenhagen tunic, only getting a 3.3 star!

pleasechange · 12/08/2010 10:48

my reviews weren't up this morning

vintage3 · 12/08/2010 11:39

i have to say a couple of those Copenhagen reviews were very critical and they printed them so fair play to them

pleasechange · 12/08/2010 12:03

oh no, I've ordered a copenhagen tunic. Off to read the reviews!

pleasechange · 12/08/2010 12:04

I can't see any reviews?

vintage3 · 12/08/2010 12:26

are you sure? at the Copenhagen tunic underneath it says 10 reviews and i think 3 stars then you have to press to see the tunic then the reviews are there

pleasechange · 12/08/2010 12:35

Mine says 0 reviews, and there is nothing in the stars to say what it's been rated. How odd

how do you get on the preview list? I took the code from MN and ordered from the autumn preview. I would have thought that would have meant I go on the preview list in future but no email.

carefulwiththataxe · 12/08/2010 19:56

I think it's random whether you get the preview or not...try googling "Boden winter preview" and see if it comes up.

thanks careful

Ixia · 12/08/2010 23:37

All my reviews are up, including the one with a solitary star.

purplepeony · 13/08/2010 08:32

All my reviews are there now.

Strange how there are no reviews for the wool Greenwich reefer which is sold out in some colours- I have ordered as an exchange but not sure about sizing.

kittya · 13/08/2010 11:25

All my reviews are there, and they are average. Im surprised by the rubbish reviews for the boyfriend jacket, Im doubting my own now, maybe i could get a better fitting one in the high street? Ive noticed nothing has got really fantastic reviews except pj bottoms and the basic stripey t shirt. I think so far they are true to form.

there is no way on earth am I getting sucked into ordering from the Winter preview. Ive actually gone off them big time.

purplepeony · 13/08/2010 11:38

Kittya- why have you gone off them?

I agree that they are now £££ and that if they are setting themeslves up alongside Ted Baker and Jigsaw price-wise thenthey need to get their act togeher.

All the dresses are, IMHO, rather frumpy- or short sleeved- does Johnnie think we all go to parties all year round? And as a middle aged woman I keep my upper arms covered as much as possible.

kittya · 13/08/2010 11:48

Im middle aged as well but, I like fashion!! He thinks we spend our lives doing school runs and having lunches between popping into the office oh, and having civil drinks in the evening. The dresses are so frumpy this year and they are the exact same versions of last years. The fittings are all over the place, the quality isnt what it used to be. How many stripey t shirts can a person have? Its also too identifiable, Im seeing in it tv dramas all the time!!

Basically, what I feel is that it is overpriced for what it is, I havent got the money to be throwing at it, Im sick of traipsing to the post office, Ive kept two things out of about ten, and, Im sick of my friends having a dig at me when I wear it!!

spiritmum · 13/08/2010 12:05

I agree, Kitty, the sizing is rubbish, the colours are drab and it looks the same year after year. And the kids's jersey wear loses is shape after a couple of washes, so I don't buy that either.

There's a mum at the dc's school who used to dress from head to foot in Boden every day, but she doesn't any more. If a loyal customer like that has gone off it...

I prefer Toast and Wrap.

kittya · 13/08/2010 12:13

I like a mixture, I love Whistles dresses as they really flatter my shape, I like Ted Baker for tops, I like Kew for bits hell, I even love Peacocks and DP's!! Im open minded but I do not want to look like some middle aged woman with aspirations when I go out on an evening!! I do really like their cardigans though and I still wear them from two or three years ago but then, the favourite cardigans are probably the cheapest things in there!!

spiritmum · 13/08/2010 13:02

Boden cardigans don't suit me at all, I look more mumsy than Courtney Cox.

I've been wearing two Betty Jackson dresses this summer, eventually I suppose they'll fall apart! Haven't looked at Whistles for ages, must do that.

We only have Monsoon and Laura Ashley near us, so I rely on the internet a great deal. (we do have Country Casuals but they seem to ba catering for the over-fiftys-who-are-hoping-to-snaffle-a-rich-husband-on-a-cruise market these days.)

vintage3 · 13/08/2010 14:49

ive just ordered the Grey cardigan with the big mad rose on it using the £10 off 30 code .Hope its nice

kittya · 13/08/2010 14:53

Is that code working?
