Aitch, piss off. You can't compare the 2.

Aitch · 03/08/2010 20:33

i can and i do.

nancydrewrocked · 03/08/2010 20:34

Everytime I go into HoF I wonder how Radley bags sell. I can only ever think of them as the middle aged womans equivilant of a micky mouse t-shirt (before they bacame retro cool in a totally-ironic-like way!)

Sorry that if that is not constructive but there are so many beautiful bags out there....and a radley is not.

Tootlesmummy · 03/08/2010 20:34

Good for you, trot off and get one or not and leave us Radley fans to have them

Aitch · 03/08/2010 20:34

that's it! they're per una in bag form.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 03/08/2010 20:35

Hate Radley, they are just boring and unimaginative.

Have a look at Osprey - very good quality bags and designs.

Aitch · 03/08/2010 20:35

no, not while we still have a chance to save thisisyesterday.

teameric · 03/08/2010 20:36

If it really has to be Radley this isn't bad no? And I'm on the case for the Belanciaga too (I like this thread I am such a bag whore!)

FranSanDisco · 03/08/2010 20:37

What bag do you carry Aitch. Give us a link why dontcha?

stillbobbysgirl · 03/08/2010 20:37

radley are a bit naff to be honest - bit grannyfied?!

Aitch · 03/08/2010 20:38

quite pleasant, that, but very marc jacobs bowling from ten years ago.

Aitch · 03/08/2010 20:39

oh i don't do names, generally get bags on hol in italy and in france. in rome there's a factory shop i go to that makes for the big brands, i get stuff there for a fraction of the price. no branding, so even better.

thisisyesterday · 03/08/2010 20:39

lol stop posting i can't keep up!

look i am NOT stylish, so i don't care if it's fashionable or not.
i am not middle aged either!!!!

now if you nay-sayers can link me to other nice bags then please do so!
i like pink (sorry!) or pretty patterns/flowers etc

i want it to last many, many, many years!

my last bag was an antoni and alison one from debenhams with 3 sparkly kitttens with bells on
that's my style pmsl

Tootlesmummy · 03/08/2010 20:40

They're not, they are just not 'latest fashion' but can be used for day to day use, business etc.

Aitch · 03/08/2010 20:41

lol i like antoni and alison, very jolly. so are you specifically looking for something more boring this time round?

thisisyesterday · 03/08/2010 20:43

lol aitch, i am looking for something not quite as sparkly and kitteny. but not totally boring and grown-up either. tho i do like the satchel style radley

i need to be able to put it over my shoulder, but not necessarily have a really long strap.

teameric · 03/08/2010 20:44

here Naetha

Aitch · 03/08/2010 20:45

do you go to tkmaxx? some of their bags are great imo. i got a lancel bag there for buttons once, nearly died when i saw the price in paris. (hadn't heard of them before, just liked it, kinda sub-fendi fabric design).

Tootlesmummy · 03/08/2010 20:46

TKMax? are you mad!?

Aitch · 03/08/2010 20:47

and my friend has some very sweet orla kielys, best to get them second hand off ebay though so you get them from the old factory.

Chunkamatic · 03/08/2010 20:48

Number 2 is the nicest by a long way. Personally I would avoid something with embroidery as they are already a bit dated and will look even more so quickly.

teameric · 03/08/2010 20:48

I love TKmaxx for a good bag bargain

Aitch · 03/08/2010 20:49

no, tkmaxx has some great stuff sometimes. always worth a look. i've had designers guild bits from there, mandarina duck by the bucketload, lancel like i say... you can tell the quality by the feel and look, it's not a question of looking for a particular brand.

thisisyesterday · 03/08/2010 20:50

i do love tk maxx actually

i just don't want to end up with some shitty thing that'll fall apart within a few months! trust me, i can't tell by feel! lol

OP posts:
Aitch · 03/08/2010 20:51

what do you think of orla kiely stuff? it's nice and not too challenging.
