If anyone can help me find it, or something similar I will be forever in your debt.
it was a monsoon dress, lime green, sleeveless, with a rounded neckline. Empire waist with multicoloured beading. It was knee-length and was made from a floaty material

How long ago did you see it?

MrsChemist · 17/07/2010 15:45

Maybe two months ago? Not ridiculously long ago anyway. it's not in the sale on the website either, though it has just occured to me that it might be on sale in the shop

It isn't this:

cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-MONSOON-MAZRAA-OLIVE-SILK-JEWEL-TUNIC-DRESS-SIZE-12-/290453221053 ?cmd=ViewItem&pt=WomensClothing&hash=item43a05c6ebd

is it?

MrsY · 17/07/2010 15:51

Oh, jsut seen the discription is Olive, so probably isn't. Can you look in your ebay history?

TulipsInTheSunshine · 17/07/2010 15:55

this?

TulipsInTheSunshine · 17/07/2010 15:56

btw.. when i read the title i assumed you meant an outfit for your ds and spent most of the Op thinking it was an odd choice for a little boys to wear at his baptism

TulipsInTheSunshine · 17/07/2010 15:58

this?

MrsChemist · 17/07/2010 16:02

I looked in my ebay history, thinking I'd watched the item, but apparently I didn't

I did think that the title might be a little ambiguous

It's a brighter green than both of those.
The neckline is similar to this except not as high on the neck.

The colour is similar to this

OK. Have trawled ebay and can't see it.

So. New dress.

What do you want people to think when the see you?

What size/height are you?

What is your all time favourite outfit?

TulipsInTheSunshine · 17/07/2010 16:28

this one?

OllieWollieWoo · 17/07/2010 18:32

That must be it Tulips (went to write your MN name as an abbreviation and it spells TITS but you may already know that )

Wondered if it was this one tho before I saw tulips?
here

TulipsInTheSunshine · 18/07/2010 12:46

The problem with that one is that i can only find that picture but the page it was on has expired so i can't find the name of it. Bit useless really!

The one you've linked too is actually nicer imo.

Had already discovered the abbreviation... rather apt considering the size of my boobs since having the kids

lisad123isgoingcrazy · 18/07/2010 13:18

here

MrsChemist · 18/07/2010 17:06

Yes tulips! it's that one! (Sorry I went away BTW, was at my parents' sans internet)

Hmm.... looks like I'll have to find another.

So, in answer to your questions MrsY

Erm... no idea. "She looks lovely" would probably do me

I'm just under 5ft and a size 10.

Favourite outfit? Hmmmmm..... I have a dress similar to this which I love, but it's not at all appropriate for a christening (also, it's a size six. I don't think I'll ever see size six ever again)

Looked in Monsoon for you today, the dress Tulips linked to is called Binxie, and is in sale. They only had an 8 and an 18 in my branch, but now you know the name, might be worth ringing round?

lisad123isgoingcrazy · 18/07/2010 19:16

well if there is one in the Welwyn Garden City branch, Im happy to help

MrsChemist · 18/07/2010 20:40

Oh thank you everyone so much!
I'll head into town tomorrow and see if the closest one to me has it. If not I'll phone around.

PlumSykes did you see how much it was in the sale?

You've all made me very happy, thank you again

OP posts:
PlumSykes · 18/07/2010 21:00

Sorry, MrsC. Was so bust chanting 'Binxie, Binxie, like Minxie, but Binxie' to myself to make the name stick, that I forgot. Everthing was super-reduced though, so would guess about £50 ish.

MrsChemist · 18/07/2010 21:33

It's ok thank you for going to so much effort for me.
Oh now I need to think about accessories as well.

What colour goes with green? I don't think I'll be able to find green shoes and a green handbag.

Yes, I am hopelessly clueless when it comes to fashion.

OP posts:
traceybath · 19/07/2010 07:31

I love threads like these and am lol'ing at Plum and her minxie.

With green as it has the beading detail - I'd be tempted to go for nude or metallic accessories I think. Also both those can be used for loads afterwards.

Good luck with finding it!

moragbellingham · 19/07/2010 08:51

I'd go for......fuschia or purple

moragbellingham · 19/07/2010 08:52

Oh, unless that beading detail has red and blue in it, I can't see too well.

MrsY · 19/07/2010 08:58

Oh, clever TITS.

If you can find the dress (and it is very nice) I would agree with the metalic stuff. You won't need a necklace, so maybe a chunky cuff and some short earings.

I love these shoes.

Will you need a cardi.

MrsChemist · 19/07/2010 11:21

There is red and blue in the beading.

I'll probably need a cardi, I got cold very easily, but if I can't find one, it won't be the end of the world.

Ok, I'm in the Trafford Centre and they only have it in a size 18. So, I'm heading to the town centre now
