Hello,

I am trying in vain and have been for 2 years to try and get 2 football tickets for Liverpool literally any game. It just seems impossible or am I doing something wrong? I have registered for tickets etc never seem to get anywhere. Any help would be greatly recieved- just want to make a memory for a Liverpool mad little boy!

Oh I was looking for this thread to post the same, yes, try the ire season friendlies, much easier to get a ticket!

Tiswa · 10/06/2025 21:28

And @TokyoSushi a much more laid back atmosphere as well in that yiu can enjoy the game and is always goals and pretty much get to see everyone play as no subs limit
i like Deepdale we did the Darmstadt game a couple of years ago

I assume it is because there are no season ticket holders and season ticket holders don’t all want to go as have all the other matches!

TokyoSushi · 10/06/2025 21:30

Yes! We went to Darmstadt at Deepdale too, it was really good, agree that it’s much more chilled at Anfield, the 2 matches in a day is interesting, but you probably get to see almost everybody, a great option!

Tiswa · 10/06/2025 21:32

It’s the only way we can afford to get tickets without bankrupting ourselves!

tryinghi778 · 10/06/2025 21:37

Thanks so much!! Xx @Tiswa

Back in the day, the museum and stadium tours were not available on match days. Assuming it's still the case, and depending on your travel time, you may need 2 days and nights.... From a "glory hunter" of 45+ years who travelled 4+hours each way to get to home games.

ForeverTipsy · 11/06/2025 21:02

@Tiswa thank you so much!! You're going to make an 11yo Koppite very happy 😊

ForeverTipsy · 11/06/2025 21:04

With the pre-season friendlies in summer hols + charity match in March, it finally feels possible for my son to see his team play at Anfield a couple of times a year without us bankrupting ourselves. Yay!

Tiswa · 11/06/2025 22:15

@ForeverTipsy this will be our third year - we love it DS and DH go to Liverpool and DD and I go somewhere else - last year was Brighton this year the plan is Paris. So everyone wins. Plus the result doesn’t matter so I can relax and know they will enjoy it

ForeverTipsy · 11/06/2025 22:37

@Tiswa funnily enough, I have just suggested to DH (lifelong Liverpool fan but only seen them play twice...once was the charity match in March thanks to a thread on here) that he and DS go just the two of them. That will leave me and DS1 to do something together we enjoy. Ooh, Brighton and Paris are both awesome choices - have a great time!

It won't be this year, but if a midweek cup tie is in school holidays especially the early rounds of the League Cup, more of a chance.

Of course assuming your family are not from Liverpool, you could encourage him to support his local team instead and not be a glory seeker.

20 yrs ago all kids were Man U fans….then man city..now it’s Liverpool.
Support your local team whatever division they play in!

@TokyoSushithank you!!
