Hello,

I am trying in vain and have been for 2 years to try and get 2 football tickets for Liverpool literally any game. It just seems impossible or am I doing something wrong? I have registered for tickets etc never seem to get anywhere. Any help would be greatly recieved- just want to make a memory for a Liverpool mad little boy!

does it have to be at anfield? Try and get tickets to see them at another stadium.

does it have to be the Men’s team? Buy tickets to see the woman at anfield?

pay £££ for hospitality

other than that no, there’s not a trick. Lots of people want tickets and there are not that many for sale.

Thank you @PotteringAlonggotkickedoutandhadtoreregister we live a LONG way away so would probably tie it in with an overnight visit and stadium tour so ideally would like the men’s team but I will definitely check out the women’s team tickets thanks so much for that!

I’m afraid it is basically impossible unless you pay for hospitality. It’s very expensive but a match at Anfield is absolutely amazing!

tryinghi778 · 30/03/2025 18:39

Thank you @TokyoSushii had a feeling this was the case 😩

Too late for this year but mine love the Liverpool legends games, they went last weekend. Once a year old players come back and play a charity match at Anfield, this year was vs Chelsea and gerrard and crouch played. Tickets go on sale in December and it doesn’t usually sell out.

Failing that we made it to a pre season friendly in Preston one year, all the main players were there. Tickets to big games I have no idea!

tryinghi778 · 30/03/2025 18:42

Thank you @ToKittyornottoKittyi will Keep an eye out for next year!

We’ve done Legends games and pre season ones too - they were great!

ToKittyornottoKitty · 30/03/2025 18:44

Also I no it’s not the same but sometimes the England games are easy enough to get tickets for.

LlynTegid · 30/03/2025 18:48

It won't be this year, but if a midweek cup tie is in school holidays especially the early rounds of the League Cup, more of a chance.

Of course assuming your family are not from Liverpool, you could encourage him to support his local team instead and not be a glory seeker.

@ToKittyornottoKittythank you!

@LlynTegidthank you and unfortunately zero chance 🙃

Unfortunately it’s next to impossible like you say. I went to the Southampton game on a friends season ticket recently but chances like that are few and far between and the more tickets you need the harder it is!

tryinghi778 · 30/03/2025 19:26

Ah thank you @imsureineverdoi hope you enjoyed the game! I guess il just keep trying knowing it’s impossible - I just wondered if I was doing something crazy wrong but it seems it’s just impossible thanks ladies

Echo that your best bet is pre-match friendly at Anfield (or elsewhere)and/or legends match! Keep an eye out for ticket sales and buy as soon as released. Both are general sales.

Smartiepants79 · 25/05/2025 21:37

Mid week European matches are the easiest according to my DH. Are you club members? You get access to tickets with that.

TheGrimSmile · 25/05/2025 23:55

I got some a few years ago from Live Football Tickets. It's basically people who have season tickets but can't make the games sell them through this site. They weren't cheap though. I think about 80 quid each.

Tiswa · 26/05/2025 00:04

the only matches we have managed without hospitality os 2 preseason friendlies - one we did at Deepdene when Anfield was been renovated and this season we did Seville - two tickets for 38 pounds!

this year it is the community shield so not convinced there will be one (same weekend last year) but keep a look out. They don’t have any season ticket holders for the friendly so it is much more open.

the above was my hack but as I said not sure given the Charity Shield

other than that hospitality for midweek cups games can be as low as £150 (which is still a lot but less than premier league)

hands down I find Liverpool tickets the most stressful tickets to buy and I have been to see Taylor Swift on her Eras tour and England play in the round of 16 in Euros 2024.

Yellowshirt · 26/05/2025 01:16

Join your local Liverpool supporters club. They sometimes have spare tickets and will also run a coach to the game

I’d be inclined to save and do a hospitality…. We did something similar when I had a four year old wrestling obsessed DS. My hulking 17 year old looks back on as a favourite childhood memory now

OnGoldenPond · 26/05/2025 22:30

Become members of Liverpool football club. You then get the chance to enter ballots for a set number of games. All home games, away games virtually impossible. If you are successful in the ballot you then get to access the members booking site at the allotted time. DH and DS have been members a few years now and manage to get tickets for 1 or 2 matches per season.

Tiswa · 10/06/2025 21:20

@tryinghi778 tjere are two pre seasons friendliest announced (well 3 strictly speaking)

Preston on the 13th July at Deepdale and Athletic Club on 4th August. A membership going on when the tickets are on sale should get them for you it’s 39 adult
and 4 junior so reasonably priced
