Really don't think either England or Wales are going to get out of the pool rounds 🙁

I definitely think the Scotland team could have a piper. As a northern Borderer married to a Scot, it's taken me nearly a decade to overcome a powerful genetic 'fight or flight' instinct whenever I hear that initial 'nnngggzgggggggh' noise.

I never understand why there aren't more drop-goals. They are an easy option when you're in front of the posts.

The rumours about Owen Farrell going to Wigan don't go away, despite many Wigan fans being dubious that it'd ever happen, or even that it is desirable anyone. He's 33 by the start of next season. I get that he's like to do it, as he played for Wigan St Pats as a kid, and his cousin lifted the Grand Final yesterday at Old Trafford. The talk is that he'd play at loose-forward (that's No, 8, more or less to you), rather than in the halves, for which we think he'd be too slow. I think if he was ever going to make the switch, he should have done it a few years ago.

The cream generally floats to the top (except Ireland!). England look about where they are ranked. I notice, BTW, that Fiji's ranking has dropped. Have they been punished for this defeat? Does it change match by match?

I don’t think England are expecting to win this World Cup and know they’ve had a lucky draw to be fair. Fiji did well against them but I missed the match.
