Really don't think either England or Wales are going to get out of the pool rounds 🙁

Dd's Italian boyfriend is staying with us. He enjoyed an afternoon at Twickenham Stoop with us watching Quins get smashed by the Barbars, then cpuld sympathise with Scotland as they got run ragged & couldn't do anything right.

Totally agree re Scotland's no.1.

I'm still gobsmacked that the Scottish prop Pierre Schoeman was not penalised for his incredibly dangerous attack on Dan Sheehan when he pushed him over the advertising hoardings.
It was appalling.
Delighted Dan scored a try afterwards.

Longest 80 minutes of my life. Ireland were superb. Deserved the win.

Schoeman was an idiot and should have been carded but think Sexton should have had a yellow as well as it was retaliation that sparked the fight. Same as happened in the Welsh game earlier when a player from each side got sin binned.

And Ireland's reward for topping the group is a QF v the mighty All Blacks . France play the Bok. So the holders , the world no 1 team or the hosts and no 2 could all go out early. While England play Melchester Rovers and Wales play Lapland iirc.

Scotland are actually better than some of the teams who progressed from weaker groups. The groups are a joke. England play like a pub team against Samoa and they should still make the semis or even the final. I know....it's not their fault and good luck to them . Only saying like 😂

Isn't there talk about leaving the draw until nearer then next WC so that it's based on teams' more recent rankings rather than their rankings from several years ago?
Scotland definitely were the losers in this draw, in more ways than one.
