Woohoooo it's finally here Smile.

2023 world championships kick off tomorrow at 7pm.

I know this thread doesn't normally get busy until closer to Christmas but thought I'd get it started!

Any particular players or dark horses you are looking out for? I'm looking forward to seeing how Beau Greaves and Josh Rock get on. Also hoping Michael Smith does well again especially now he's finally won a title.

We missed most of yesterdays games as we were travelling down to London to go to Ally Pally today Grin. Was so happy for Soutar, we were the only ones supporting him to begin with (well in our vicinity) but by the end of the match had everyone loving him!

We managed to catch Josh Rock yesterday, he really is someone to watch. I'm stuck between a rock pardon the pun and a hard place though as Clayton is my all time favourite! Whatever the result of that game I'll be happy but it would be amazing for Rock to get through.

Today has just shown the best of so many players.

Michael Smith must be the most frustrating player of anyone though. Even my 9 year old said "if he slowed down and concentrated he would score more". I get it's how he plays but it's still "aaarrgh" to watch him play.

Tomorrow will be good, Ross Smith, Rob Cross (my favourite) & Josh Rock all playing.

Its when he gets stroppy and the darts lurch towards the board 🤣 I think if he could lose the stress he'd be world no 1

Rapid Ricky is just as bad except he seems to joke rather than stress

Yes we were just tearing our eyes out watching Smith!! He would be incredible if he didn't get so stressed Grin

We are travelling home from London tomorrow but hoping we will be able to watch Rock (stopping at relatives for the night on the way home so it's going to depend on what they have planned for us to do!).

So it turns out going down to Ally Pally means you miss out on loads of the other days and are terrible at keeping up with your own thread Grin. Back home and nearly all family seen so we are settling in for the final few days! Going to miss the second match this afternoon but hope to be able to watch the rest.

Come on Clayton!!

Well tonight was entertaining- I wasn't expecting either match to be so one sided though

I had a feeling MVG was going to thrash Dobey but nothing could prepare me for Price and his ear defenders . There's a different thread over on telly addicts with slightly more traffic @CheesyChipsOnWembleyWay
