Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes

A lot of talk yesterday about how poor the car is and Lewis ‘deserves better’.

But no one is talking about how well Russell is doing in comparison. He drove from 11th to 4th yesterday while Hamilton stayed stuck in 14th the whole race. He’s currently 21 points ahead of Hamilton, after 4 races. They’re driving the same car?

I’m wondering if Hamilton has just lost motivation after Abu Dhabi and his heart’s not in it anymore. Or is there another explanation?

I really feel that I need to say that despite my username I am not a massive Norris fan! I just like his name 😂

As long as I get to check Lewis you are free to check on whichever drivers take your fancy!

I really enjoy his sense of humour. When Max for fined for touching the rear wing of Lewis's car after the next race Seb pulled up behind Lewis and joked over the radio to his team "I'm gonna touch Lewis's car"

I added his surname because I thought for a hot second that Verstappen's first name was also Sebastian. It might be time for bed.

Things looking a bit more positive for Mercedes after FP2 in Miami. Russell fastest and Hamilton fourth. 0.2s between them.

As an aside, Vettel is on next week’s Question Time (from Hackney) which should be interesting.

I’m not reading too much into either FP2 or FP3. Looks like they are trying different set ups. my prediction is they are likely to be third fastest when it all shakes down, but could pick up a good result in the race tomorrow if there’s rain/incidents/safety cars.
Interested to see how much performance they claw back in quali compared to FP3 though. I’d be pleasantly surprised if they are back in the mix for the front row.

Rain forecast for tonight's race at some point.

I'm not impressed with the FIA again. The drivers are expressing concerns over the concrete wall that both Sainz and Occon have had high G crashes at. The FIA are dismissing those concerns instead of listening to the drivers. They are more worried about Lewis nose piercing.
