It's so sad about Romania. They used to be such a powerhouse of Women's gymnastics. Daniela Sillivash is my favourite gymnast ever, and I used to watch my Nadia Comanec biopic on repeat when I was little!

This year my fave gymnast has been Victoria Listukova, gutted she didn't get into the all around final because of the three person rule.

I loved the film Nadia when I was a little girl. Also watched the vhs on repeat and wanted to be a gymnast after that!

That was it! My VHS was stolen when we were burgled circa 1998. I've never been able to find it since. It's so galling since I doubt it had a massive resale value for the burglar!

Is this the right movie?

Is this the one where her and her teammate are eating and having a restricted diet. The friend says 'have another delicious carrot stick' and nadia says 'which one is delicious?' 🤣

Yes!!!! Wow. Never thought I'd see it again!

And Yes, I remember the carrot stick line! I can't believe other people actually know what I'm talking about! Another line that sticks in my memory is from the head of Romanian gymnastics when the Karolyi's were setting up their school 'Medals?! Onlt the Russians win medals!'

Wow you guys have great memories! I remember the carrot stick line now you say it. I loved the relationship between Bella and nadia in the film and love it when I was a little girl seeing them coach the USA team. So disappointing that they were part of the cover up 😔

One of my favourite bits was when she does a little routine with her friend and they announce that they will be best friends forever 🥰

Does anyone know where I can see the women’s individual bars final please? I thought it was happening now (after men’s pommel horse) but j can’t find it on tv.
