We are away for the weekend (to commiserate friends whose wedding has been cancelled for two years running ) and will be out on Saturday night. The pub will probably have the match on so it will be a very different occasion than we were planning, whatever the outcome.

OH is German so was a split mood in our house, it is a shame to see so many references on SM and in newspapers to the war. DD posted a picture on her Snapchat of her with German flag face paint and had a boy message her "fucking nazi".

Wish people could just focus on the beautiful game!

we have German friends (well, some of my ancestors lived in Bavaria!) and DS5's godmother is German so of course there's a lot of teasing going on, going back decades.

I had to watch the first half of extra time sped up (to catch up).

We enjoy some good natured teasing too! It just always seems like some people don't know when to stop, and eventually it goes too far.

No way to report unfortunately, she's told her friends but he's known for being a tosser so she's just "unadded" him apparently.
