Possibly the most lucky person in the world today. Fabrice said if it had happened anywhere else the outcome would have been different.

I shall be cheering on Denmark for the rest of the tournament.

@Waveifyouknowme the speed in which the players and ref reacted could potentially have made all the difference.

@ILoveYou3000 DH has gone to get him but I think so, his friends mum called to apologise as she was in the house and didn't realise what was happening. She said one of the boys (not DS) was really distressed which seems to have made the others feel worse than maybe they would have done otherwise.

There's a quite sweet video doing the rounds. Looks like the fans have all remained in the stadium and the Finnish fans are chanting "Christian" and the Danes "Eriksen" then the whole stadium erupts into applause. Something quite small but powerful.

Watching his wife on the touch line was so distressing.

It speaks to their strength that all the players felt able to continue.

How can the Finnish players possibly celebrate a goal or win now?

Its true BBC are not in control of the images but they arenin control of wether they show them or not, once it was obvious they weren't staying on a wide shot they could have cut back to the studio.

I think the players may find more comfort in playing than sitting around worrying. Hopefully they all get the support they need off the pitch.

Just catching up and was surprised to see that they have resumed the match. Must be a good sign.

I only found out what happened when my son started whatsapping us, he and his mates were watching in a pub and all were quite distressed. Glad I haven't seen the footage.

It's easy enough to cut out footage, no excuse not to do so.

Oh Kasper. That was very unlike him, his head must be all over the place.
I know they wanted to resume play but the events will have affected them greatly.
