My 14 year old is watching this with his friends in a friends garden he has just called asking if I will go and pick him up he sounded really shaken.

They should have cut the cameras MUCH earlier!

That's one of the most distressing things I've ever seen. His poor wife.

i can’t believe bbc kept the cameras on the pitch whilst this was happening. they should have cut the pictures as soon as the severity of the situation was known. absolutely shocking that they chose to continue showing his distraught wife and teammates.

This is horrendous, can't believe the cameras didn't cut away sooner there was a clear shot of his face and the vision of his eyes was haunting.

Why did it take them so long to cut the cameras?

I've just complained on the BBC website about how they handled this. They cut to the studio with streakers instantly but for some reason thought it OK to entertain us with this awful moment for a man, his team and family.

Yep. Imagine if you were his family or friends and you watched him getting CPR being shown to millions of people.
