Can't see a thread on this ....

Any rugby lovers here? Not many of my girlfriends share my love of rugby.

France/Argentina - cracking close match.

Japan/Russia - glad the home team won.

Australia/Fiji fantastic first half.

And now the All Blacks v Springboks - can't wait ....

Gutted for Japan. It was gonna be a big ask for them to beat SA though.

Just noticed this thread.

Better late than never Smile

TanteRose · 20/10/2019 13:46

Fabulous scenes now after the game - players brought all their kids onto the field and they are running around with the team and taking photos Smile

SimonJT · 20/10/2019 19:40

MiniSJT is fast asleep, but I’m stuck on UK time bored out of my mind.

SimonJT · 20/10/2019 19:44

Ah, accidentally pressed post.

The game was fab, but the boxes weren’t great at the stadium, so we managed to change to general admission seating which was much better.

minmooch · 20/10/2019 20:30

Ah it was a fabulous game - Japan have done themselves proud. Had a tear for them that they didn't pull it off but they have been incredible.

Think SA will have to up their game as that was not a convincing win for them.

What a fabulous weekend of rugby.

Well done Japan, great team and one to watch

Such a great weekend for rugby fans, bring on the semis!

massistar · 21/10/2019 13:16

Have you seen the photo of Jaco Peyper posing with the welsh fans with his elbow raised?? Has he lost his senses?!

Yeahnahyeah1 · 21/10/2019 13:53

No?? Are you joking? Seriously, what is going through his head right now?

AlunWynsKnee · 21/10/2019 14:00

It does seem pretty ill judged.

Also Navidi's out of the tournament. :(

massistar · 21/10/2019 16:45

Yep seriously. It's all over the Twitter.

Real shame about Navidi @AlunWynsKnee . Gutted for him and Wales!

MrsJoshNavidi · 21/10/2019 18:24

Yep. Mr Navidi has hurt his hamstring Sad

AlunWynsKnee · 21/10/2019 19:40

Wonder who they're going to get out to fill the place in the squad. I'd guess they probably need a bit of extra resilience in the centre given Parkes is more bandages than man and Jonathan Davies might struggle.

AlunWynsKnee · 21/10/2019 23:30

Turns out Owen Lane was already on his way out.

minmooch · 22/10/2019 07:15

Just caught up with the Japan/Scotland match. Another game where I knew the score but it was exhilarating to watch!

My god Japan are brilliant in the air. And the power and speed of their passes is breathtaking.

They so deserved to get where they did.

I’ve been told today I have to work on Saturday... whyyyyyyyy 😭😭😭

Butterisbest · 23/10/2019 21:43

My husband left for Japan today, he's got tickets for both semi finals, the bronze semifinal and the final. He did ask me to go with him but it's just a little bit too far for me.
My dogs would have to go back into the Kennels and I've been away a lot this year. So I'll be in our local rugby club watching from afar.

MrsJoshNavidi · 24/10/2019 16:55

Yeahnah Noooooo! Call in sick.

Butter Can I have your spare ticket?

Butterisbest · 24/10/2019 18:15

Aw Mrs Josh, when I said no, he only got tickets for him

AlunWynsKnee · 24/10/2019 18:59

Lucky man Butter

We've lost Liam Williams to an ankle injury today now :(. Never thought I'd be disappointed to see Halfpenny at full back.

Butterisbest · 24/10/2019 19:01

Oh shit, not Liam, very disappointing

Yeahnahyeah1 · 24/10/2019 19:33

@MrsJoshNavidi I’m honestly so tempted... they won’t guess will they, seeing as I’ve asked around for anyone (anyone??!!) to swap with me 🤦🏼‍♀️ Luckily I work in such a job where I will simply put the rugby on at my desk. Just a shame as I’d hoped to watch with my DH.

AlunWynsKnee · 24/10/2019 20:17

Yeahnah call in sick tomorrow. That'll muddy the waters Grin

Yeahnahyeah1 · 24/10/2019 20:42

I like your thinking @AlunWynsKnee Grin I might call it stress induced after the day I’ve had 🤦🏼‍♀️

AlunWynsKnee · 24/10/2019 21:01

I would. You feel a bit sick, don't you?

Alternatively you could impose a media ban, record it and pretend you're watching it live later. I did that for Fiji.
