I posted about this in chat the other day but I think I'm gonna phone NHS 24 tomorrow.

It started on Friday night as a small white head and now it looks like the picture.

There is now redness around it with a diameter of 10cm. But its not as sore as it was.

I've been googling necrotic spider bites and now on scared!

Gosh that doesn’t look nice. It looks almost like a burn ?

And you haven’t injured yourself in any way ?

fuzzyfozzy · 25/12/2017 22:48

Draw round it and check it tomorrow

FabulouslyGlamorousFerret · 25/12/2017 22:54

I'm reckoning a necrotic spider bite ... only joking, it looks like an infected flea/mosquito/horsefly bite to me

NeverUseThisName · 25/12/2017 23:02

I've had a necrotic spider bite, and it didn't look like that. Yours looks worse, sorrry. Definitely draw along the margin of the red area, and get it looked at tomorrow.

Xmasbite24 · 25/12/2017 23:33

Not injured myself or shaved recently.

Oh my, will I lose my leg? ! Shock

Ouch. As suggested, draw around it and see how it is in the am.

N0tfinished · 25/12/2017 23:53

I had something like that, GP asked if I went walking in woods, as he suspected a tick bite/Lyme disease. He put me on a course of treatment & antibiotics. Took a while for the mark to fade.

Don't know if yours is the same but you definitely need to go to doctor... could be a staph infection.

pieceofpurplesky · 26/12/2017 00:14

Have you been anywhere that you could have been bitten by a tic? Looks a bit like a tic bite. You need to get to GP/Walk in asap

NeverUseThisName · 26/12/2017 00:33

I don't think that's the Lyme bull's eye rash. It looks more like a localised infection which your body may fight off alone or may need antibiotics for. You won't lose your leg Grin

mistyweather · 26/12/2017 00:35

ouch

Allgirlskidsanddogs · 26/12/2017 01:02

Looks nasty. Needs watching, keep taking photos and maybe draw around the perimeter to monitor if it is spreading.

Xmasbite24 · 26/12/2017 09:03

It think it looks better today. It's still weeping though.... In totally trying to avoid phoning 111!

OP posts:
missyB1 · 26/12/2017 09:07

It looks like it’s healing by itself, I would give it another day and see how it goes.

Xmasbite24 · 26/12/2017 11:05

Christ, crater potentially starting on finger?

It's a bit painful.

Get it seen.

Youcanstayundermyumbrella · 26/12/2017 11:07

They both look painful. If you've got two separate sites, it's likely to be a skin infection and you need antibiotics. Call 111!

My son had a staph infection as a baby and had little breakouts in three different places on his body.

MyNewBearTotoro · 26/12/2017 11:07

Have a hot bath and give it a squeeze to see if a Seashell comes out.

Xmasbite24 · 26/12/2017 12:44

Haha was reading about the seashells the other day.

I going to wait it out for now.

OP posts:
mistyweather · 27/12/2017 01:03

how are you?

Xmasbite24 · 27/12/2017 10:33

It seemed drier today but once I got up and about it started to weep again.

My finger can move again but it's leaking pus. It looks like a smaller but not as bad version of what I've got on my leg.

Thank you misty Smile

Mate you need to see a doctor. That’s an open wound.

passmethewineplease · 27/12/2017 10:39

Get to a GP. That looks sore.

BattleCunt · 27/12/2017 10:40

You need to see a doctor.

mamabeartocubs · 27/12/2017 10:59

I'm sorry but to me it doesn't look like it's getting any better... I agree with the others: go get it seen by a doctor

BattleCunt · 27/12/2017 11:10

Sorry if this is alarmist, but my brain is yelling MRSA here. Get thee to a doctor post haste.
