Picture of a disgusting sore on my leg

I posted about this in chat the other day but I think I'm gonna phone NHS 24 tomorrow.

It started on Friday night as a small white head and now it looks like the picture.

There is now redness around it with a diameter of 10cm. But its not as sore as it was.

I've been googling necrotic spider bites and now on scared!

Definitely need to see a doctor. Don’t leave it any longer.

Honestly, as I said the other day, two outbreaks in separate places means it's very likely a skin infection that needs antibiotics.

Could it be an ulcer? Whatever it is, you need expert medical advice so get yourself to a doctor asap.

Got flucloxacillin and some dressings.

Doctor was asking if I'd been for any walks recently as it suggested I thought it was a bite. But I haven't....... Hopefully the antibiotics will help!

Fingers crossed the antibiotics work well, it looks so sore!

Good that it's being treated. The fact that a second sore appeared was concerning- suggested something more widespread, rather than a localised infection. Hope it all heals up soon.

Update. Still weeping and I'm still having to dress it. Looks a good colour though I think.

Finger is clearing up.

Just put my new years dressing on my leg! I ended last year the same as I began it - on a course of antibiotics!
