The test is too vague. For example, the first question, about relating to adults. Is that any adult, or familiar adults? DS2 would score 4 with the SALT but 1 with me! Also, do you score by comparing to typical peers? Because if a child is verbal, but doesn't speak in sentences, like DS2, he/she will surely get further and further away from peers in other areas, like response to pain. DS2's was normal(ish) at 3, but do I now score him as moderate because an NT child of his age (6) would say 'Mummy, I've banged my elbow?'? and he'll just cry and say 'hurt'?

Anyway, bit depressing really, as he scored 37 a year ago and now scores 42. But I guess it's the widening gap between him and his peers as MrsT says.
