Okay here we go!

ONE

  • She came into us this morning (6am not so so good but...) she climbed onto the bed, kissed me and lay down next to me softly stoking my face and saying 'ahhhhhh' and then as i lay there smiling I heard her count to 10! Honestly, to 10. HELOOOOOO!!!!! WOW! I made her do it again and she did. Then I asked her to give me 1 kiss which she did, then I asked her to give me 3 kisses which she did. Gobsmacked, flabbergasted, proud as hell.

TWO

  • Every morning when D kisses her bye, before he gets a chance, as soon as she's had her kiss she points to me and says 'daddy - mummy kiss'! and as he kisses me she does her little happy hands and is all excied and pleased. Bless her.

THREE
I saw the speech and language therapist briefly when she visited Lottie at nursery this morning. I ran through a few things to update her and she said 'wow, she's my star pupil'. You can all imagine how overjoyed I was to hear that.

So, that's that really, just needed to gush, job done

Oh what a little love Lottie is. You must be so proud Thomcat.
I too remember the post of the day when you was all in a spin. We had such a lovely chat that night, do you remember? Dingle was with us too.
Anyway so glad about all of your lovely, positive news. You really deserve it! xxxxxx

Thomcat · 10/05/2005 22:16

Okay, went and got 'the file'!

Theree was:

Eve
Evening Standard (same as Eve article)
The thing in the Abbey magazine
2 things in a charity regional mag
3 or 4 things for 2 different local papers
something 2 things for a kids mag in the hillingdon area
Mother & Baby

A new womans mag that didn't have a name when I did interview and I've totally lost who it was I spoke to so not sure what/who this was for at all in the end!

It was J P & B

And even though I was having a free read in WHS, I felt like nudging the person next to me and saying.............I know these people.

I didn't ...............because if it had gone to, oh really how lovely, I would have struggled to explain the power of MNet.

Thomcat · 10/05/2005 22:23

PMSL, yes I know what you mean I say to people I know someone who said blah blah and then think ohhh, God, don't ask me who, how can I explaing that their name is zebedeeschimney!

hunkermunker · 10/05/2005 22:24

PMSL as well - I have mentioned I "know" people on here, then hope desperately I don't get asked more details...

Janh · 10/05/2005 22:27

And your mum in the Mail? (I didn't dream that, did I?)

And you could have been on morning TV that time - I'm still sorry that never happened!

Janh · 10/05/2005 22:31

btw, meant to tell you TC, there's a local paper that has a beautiful baby competition every year and a couple of weeks ago one of the photos was of a beautiful little girl with Down's - blonde hair in a topknot and big blue eyes, she was gorgeous!

Don't know if she won her week, I think they're mostly won by the kids with the biggest circle of friends and family, but it was so nice to see her

Thomcat · 10/05/2005 22:31

Yes, my mum in the Mail, and Best magazine!
I'm so, so happy that GMTV didn't happen, I can't tell you how releived I am, honestly, makes me go cold to think of freezing up on live TV.

Did you say she put her coat on all by herself??? My ds can't do that.

Thomcat · 11/05/2005 11:36

Yes Aloha, she's done it 3 times to my knowledge. Very funny as the 1st 2 times were totally unwitnessed, D and I came into front room and she was wearing her coat and we just stood there moths open, 2nd time we were in bed and she was in her pj's and when we next looked she'd taken her cardigan from pile of clean washing and was wearing it, we couldn't stop laughing. Then yesterday my dad witnessed her doing it at nursery and as she did it all the other kids broke into a spontaneous cheer,

Blimey. I'm seriously impressed!

Blu · 11/05/2005 22:56

Oh, TC, this is seriously impressive - the crawling, the business with the door and coat, she must be enjoying herself SO much.

And thanks for helping me understand the obvious re all the timing !!! Hopeless, me!

JakB · 13/05/2005 15:16

Ah, I missed this! More tales of gorgeous Lottie! That is amazing, TC. You must be so, so proud of your little girl. Fantastic news .
