Am really fed up. Am sat here having to write a strongly worded letter AGAIn to the LEA about the fact that my son has only been awarded 15 hours on his statement. The head in her evidence states he is already recieving over 25 hours of 1:1 support and that this is not meeting DSs needs and is only just containing the issues and that he is at risk of permanent exclusion due to his problems and is currently attending a PRU unit to enable school some time out.
Am having trouble getting case worker to ring me and arrange a meeting and im fuming TByh and totally fed up. Just had meet with parent partnership rock! So do have 2 A4 sheets of pointers to put in this letter but im so angry and upset right now i cant focus!

What are the chances of LEA upping hours from 15 to 35 based on the fact that ME and SCHOOL say he cant function or access curriculaum without it????????

We have 32 hours which covers him full time school hours!

Heard today as well that the head mistress from his old school is leaving at the end of school year! Apparently their have been many complaints at her lack of SN provisions and governers have pushed her out!!!!

I really missed that! I knew the case worker wanted it but didn't realise that they'd officially backed down - brilliant!

(Get it in writing - sure you have, but I don't trust LEAS!)

what are the chances of getting a statement for home! Id love full time support because DH surely aint providing any! Have had a bad weekend and am really low. Took DS to soft play on Saturday and he was fine till 11 when it suddenly became packed and he had a major tantrum. HAd to restrain him and get DD ready to leave. He screamed all way home and spent rest of afternoon arguing and fighting. Im fed up. Havent been out of house at weekend for 3 weeks and now i know why!!

Well done getting your Ds the hours you wanted!! Hope this is a turning point for your ds- when does it start?
Sorry you've had a difficult weekend again. Hope you get some respite somehow!! Dont suppose your dcs like walking - my Ds loves the woods (but then he likes trees!!)and there is usually somewhere to sit for me once Ds finds something to investigate or den to build.
