merlot just asked on another thread and I thought seeing as there are lots of new members joining it might be possible for us to have 'smaller' meets.

I actual had an e-mail off a mumsnetter who lives very close to me. We were chatting on another 'meet-up' thread and are going to meet up, but when we chatted off the board it turned out her middle ds has similar problems to my dd, which was a weird coincidence (maybe?)

well i am on the East kent Coast, very glam - hehe

Thanks so much for doing this thread for me Snmum (so grateful). Its taking me a while getting the hang of on this website (dh would find that hilarious as I can talk the hind legs off a donkey in real life ). You've cheered me up so much that I am off to sort out contents of a discovery bag (shiny paper etc) as recommended by the speech therapist and might even have some retail therapy!

Would love to do a more local SN meet up-the practicalities of London seem too daunting!! I'm such a coward aren't I.Saying that it's the public transport that really turns me off-I just don't think I could manage dd in the buggy-I do drive though.

Dingle, you would catch the same train as me wouldnt you into London? I could meet you and we could help each other. You know, i could look out for you at your stop, bellow out the window then help you on and off? Dont worry i am crapping it too

Snmum- I must admit-I don't travel into London very often now. I always used to drive up to Dartford,leave my car at the inlaws and go from there.That did mean trying to park at the station,asking for a lift or getting a cab.
Last time I travelled up was for the Flora Light Run up in Hyde Park & because I was running with my sister (who lives in Gillingham)we met up & travelled from there. Quite a fast service into Victoria! Is that on your line?

yes thats the one! got completely confused coming back from sittingbourne the other day as the train splits in two at faversham and I was on the wrong side of the train

Was hoping that something would materialise with the Kent meetup. Did meet up with Cabdury & Aero locally last week!!They live in Medway too, Cadbury is only 5 mins from me- small world isn't it?

Merlot - my dh works nr Guildford so am sometimes down that way.

no possibility for me to meet up as much as I would love to... being over here in sunny Australia. where the minimum temp is higher than london's max at the moment.... ( not gloating really!!
