Amanda Kelly runs Sweet Peas, the Brighton based parent and toddler group for children with special needs and learning difficulties. Amanda gave up her glamorous lifestyle working for a glossy magazine in London when her daughter Livvy was diagnosed with severe autism.
As a mother of a child with special needs, Amanda found it very difficult to watch her daughter Livvy struggling to fit in with the other children at a mainstream toddler group, so she decided to set up her own group.
Sweet Peas has become invaluable to other mums who consider it to be a place not only where their children are accepted and feel comfortable, but also a place where they can get the vital support and understanding from other mums in the same boat.
