would you consider expanding yourself ( i know that is such a ridiculous question given the circs) or would you rather people just did it themselves as like a franchise?

I just think there would be a good number of people whou would make use of it, certainly in my area.

AitchtwoOH, thanks for your kind comments!
Mamazon, it would prob have to be a spin-off although I have thought of approaching a funder for a large amount of money to 'go national'. Then local mums could run it in their ares but be given a starter grant to get equipment/pay rent etc...

i have been desperate to find sme way of getting back to work part time but obviously with the Dc's its difficult and seeing that piece really got me thinking. i have no teaching or nursary qualifications but am a fully qualified social worker so maybe some of those skills are transferable.

there is a local community hall that is rented out to mother and baby groups and things plus this is a sure start area so im certain there are various funding and grants available to projects like yours.

it may be worth looking into a little further.

Mamazon, I'm sure you would do a brilliant job, happy to help you in anyway I can. We started off really small with hardly any money.

Aww, well done JakB, I'd seen notices up for sweet peas, but didn't know it was you, and my ds is 8 now, so obv not for us. We met in Dyke road park once, you prob don't remember, but had a really nice chat.

What a brilliant thing to do. Do you need any help? Whenever I meet other parents/ relatives by chance who are starting on this journey I'm always reminded of the few other 'sn parents' I was lucky enough to meet who helped me, and I'd love to be around as someone who's a bit further down the line if anyone needs it.
