Jimjams keeping secrets from us!

I just noticed a thread on the Conception section which I normally ignore or whizz through because it had Jimjams' name in the title. Turns out, SEN girls, she's up the duff!!!
Congratulations Jimjams and family! How exciting
Now, you know I'm an expert (or I think I am at everything!) so please come here to ask us all for advice or to share your news.

splutter!!!

Still in shock actually (and early days blah blah blah- don't actually "feel" pregnant iykwim so not entirely convinced about this one).

So what do you reckon ds1 will be 5 ds2 almost 3- + baby- is it going to be possible to go out with dh? Ie if he takes ds1- can I manage a 3 year old + baby by myself. Or are we stuck inside until ds2 is older????

Hmmmm, I suppose one of you can manage DS2 and baby while the other is on DS1 duty, it'll be fun! You know I have a strange set up as DS (ASD) is 8.5yrs and DD is just over 1yr. I can take them out together at the moment as DD does not walk yet so I push her and she stays in her pushchair in the park etc. DS is now quite manageable while out as he really listens to me and is quite compliant (although he may protest he does seem to stop, wait, come here etc) but he wasn't a few years ago.
Its such lovely news, you and Eidsvold will have to compare name ideas..... How about Ivar for a boy and Lorna for a girl?

It will be fine JJ - I have roughly that gap - 6 months less

you will find that the older two are far less hassle than you remember form last time and will be so proud!
ds2 willbe far more responsoible asn will beome a GIant!

Wonderful news Jimjams - I am sure you'll just do fine!!!! Life does get alot busier (that was the main difference for myself!!) BUT remember children do grow up very quickly too. Lovely news!!!!

Davros you may have a strange idea of fun I was trying to work out how I would get them all in (new!) car to go to school. At the moment its a complete palavar as I have to carry/hold ds2 and hoild ds1 by the scruff of the neck/hood. I guess I'll have to leave the baby and go back for it!

We are hoping for a precocious girl who starts talking at 12 months and doesn't need SALT. Now that would be a novelty

Am slightly dreading another year of watching for a point. Although as my friend said you "know" before then anyway.

Another thing Davros- what age was your son able to wait. This is the biggest problem out and about really as he runs away because of his inability to wait.

Actually Jimjams he's terrible at waiting except when asked to if we're walking outside for some reason!!! He will come back and stop, hold hands to cross etc and seems quite safe although I'd never take chances. I suppose this happened when he was about 4. Lots of practice walking around the streets etc but, of course, I didn't have any others to manage then. An interesting and funny "experiment" was when he got shut outside a couple of times (really) when my Dh went to get something from the car and didn't lock the door....... DS bashed on the door and made a noise until we let him back in, rather than heading off to the shops as I would have expected. Don't recommend trying this out though.
About worrying for "signs", I still look and worry and get a bit cross when people say "you must be so happy she's OK". Who says she's OK? It could be a milder version and there's always regression. But I know in my heart that she's fine and I don't worry constantly, only now and then, probably to a fairly normal degree with any baby I suppose.
