Lougle thanks so much for the offer, but I really don't think I can - even with a lift. Nearest city is Portsmouth, but I don't think I can face getting home really late. I work FT and try to be home 5pm so I can do bedtime or I see too little of DD. I had to go away to a work conference a couple of weeks ago and she did not handle the change in routine at all and we had major fallout for the next few days. She still mentions it now and gets anxious if I'm late. But thank you.

lougle · 09/05/2014 21:28

I completely understand, constantcraving. Yes, with a 5 pm finish we wouldn't be back until at least 6.30pm, which would throw her off.

youarewinning · 09/05/2014 21:38

But if it helps in future craving I'm just outside Portsmouth myself!

lougle · 10/05/2014 15:30

Bumping this for the weekenders. I've already sent 12 forms out for 14 delegates. Moondog has started receiving booking forms and confirming places.

This training day has a minimum number of 15 or it will be cancelled. It has a maximum of 20.

If you would like a booking form, please PM me your email address.

My form is in the post - exciting!

lougle · 11/05/2014 23:06

Oh I'm so pleased, Handy! I'm sure we'll get the numbers we need but I'll be gutted if it doesn't go ahead!

I'd like to go from south essex if there's anyone nearby

3dimensional · 12/05/2014 02:15

What a great opportunity!! - I hope the day goes ahead for you all.

FWIW - Direct Teaching and Precision Teaching is working SO well for my son. He has severe dyslexia and all the other DYS plus ASD ...

All the best

lougle · 12/05/2014 21:18

More requests coming in! That's 17 forms sent out so far.

I've just got the forms as DH is hoping to come, and seen who else is presenting.

OMG!!! I've seen her talk and met her and can only describe her as the Gandhi of the SEN Teaching world.

So gutted I can't come.

lougle · 13/05/2014 08:28

I'm gutted you can't come too, Star. I wonder if we could videotape the sessions?.....

We'll definitely have to organise a social meet up soon. It's been far too long.

moondog · 13/05/2014 08:32

Laughing me head off Star at Lovely Colleague described as Gandhi if the teaching world! I am with her this morning so I will tell her. You are right though. She is a fantastic teacher and an inspiration to all.

I'm sorry you can't come- not that you need us really, but it would, as always, be nice to see you.

me55monster · 13/05/2014 13:22

I too was very impressed with description of Lovely Colleague in the course details - now frantically making notes as to what I want to discuss with her to make best use of potential 1:1 session.

StarlightMcKenzie · 13/05/2014 13:32

I don't wanna say too much personal stuff, but when I first heard her speak I got incredibly angry that there was someone like her in the world and my son didn't have her. It seemed all so effortless and sensible.

Having spoken to her since I realise that she's had to work incredibly hard to be able to achieve what she has. The whole hearts and minds stuff. As I said, - Gandhi!

I wouldn't normally say this, zzzzz, but what we really need is your engagement to have its date shifted due to unavoidable circumstances. Perhaps an outbreak of mild flu?

OP posts:
Handywoman · 13/05/2014 15:29

e-coli outbreak? flesh-eating bug?

moondog · 13/05/2014 16:00

I have told Lovely Colleague to come in sandals, gold rimmed specs and a dhoti.
She may well oblige.....

lougle · 13/05/2014 16:17

Awesome!
