Not SN related, however, seen as you guys on the sn board are the closet things I have 'friends' and know more about my life than anyone in real life...I would like to share with you that I am getting married on Saturday! Smile

We had a last-minute M&S cake too. it tasted gorgeous. Actually, we left the cakes at home, bridesmaids had to race back & get them, then remove from boxes and stack, with a couple of some roses for decoration Blush Luckily the venue lent them the dowels so we didn't need rsj's Grin

The dresses are both lovely.
Go on, suspense is killing me, which is it?
Or do we have to wait for you to upload wedding pics on the day Grin

Maria, I choose the 2nd, it needed some alterations, so fits a bit better.

I will have to send you guys some cake, if it doesn't collapse!

Thanks Polter, the 1st dress didn't really fit/cover my boobs properly, I felt more comfortable in the 2nd.

Thanks everyone being able to show off my dress etc here, to friends, has been lovely and made me feel more excited! Obviously my mum came with me, but not the same as a 'girly' natter!

Are you having an up or down do? Hair that is....
Second dress is stunning.
Have a beautiful wonderful and most of all relaxing day Claw - hopefully we'll get a time limited pic of you on the other side when you'll be Mrs Claw Flowers

claw2 · 23/10/2013 23:33

Oooh Frizz don't get me started on hair, you are promoted to maid of honour!

I have a lovely hair band thingy and I think maybe mostly up, with some dangly bits so you can see the detail on the upper part of the dress.

rofl

Sooooo excited for you.

What music you having?

claw2 · 23/10/2013 23:50
down the aisle to this (bit of a joke with my mum, at her saying I would never get married and I love the old songs!) first dance, chosen by dp, he is a bit of an Elvis fan, but Elvis version was a bit fast!

That's cake, dress, hair and music, you guys will be there with me. In fact its a shame I had to limit numbers due to size of hall, otherwise you could have been!

Both drersses are absolutely stunning Claw.

So, you can make great wedding cakes out of an old Kellogs packet, a bit of string and an RSJ Envy

and

you have a figure to die for Envy

Life's not fair at times Grin

claw2 · 24/10/2013 00:08

I have the LA to thank for my figure Wet, years of stomping on the treadmill imagining a few people are underneath, quite therapeutic!

Ds watched me decorate the cake and said 'it doesn't look like a birthday cake, is it a wedding cake' 'yes' he didn't think to ask who is getting married!

I will tell him on Friday.

Star and others if any of you are passing by Kent the latter part of next week, kids are off of school, you are more than welcome to pop in for a coffee and some wedding cake

StarlightMcKenzie · 24/10/2013 00:14

Aw Claw, lovely choice of music.

Made me cry just thinking of it.

StarlightMcKenzie · 24/10/2013 00:15

Ooooooh! Tempting.

wetaugust · 24/10/2013 00:16

Lol! So the LA has its use after all Grin

claw2 · 24/10/2013 00:18

Do it Star! you know where I am, we can have a post wedding lunch and some lopsided cake, perfect!

OP posts:
frizzcat · 24/10/2013 00:22

Ooh you're in Kent I thought you were in the West Country for some reason - also explains your battles with the LA - eff them its your wedding.

An "up do with some dangly bits" the mind boggles, where is Wet getting these strippers from? Wink

Oh yes, definitely up and some tendrils down perfect, and I love Etta James.

claw2 · 24/10/2013 00:25

Ooooh or if you or anyone else who would like to come are travelling by public transport, we can have a glass of wine post wedding lunch/Halloween and lopsided cake, even perfecter!

OP posts:
claw2 · 24/10/2013 00:33

Yes Frizz are you nearby? Do you fancy some lopsided cake?! Invite is for anyone nearby who enjoys being poisoned!

I went to see strippers once Frizz, once was enough, do you know they tie an hair band around it, enough to put me right off of my lopsided cake!

I think Wet has given up on the strippers and we have settled for a cup of tea instead!

OP posts:
wetaugust · 24/10/2013 00:36

I'm not responsible for the strippers - that was Claw's idea, along with the baby oil Shock

The only stripper I'd be able to get would be in B&Q - for wallpaper Sad

I do remember seeing an excellent, very energetic stripper (male) in my younger days, who did hand-stands
